Blood Bowl 2
The field is full of Warhammer games, but only one pits fantasy races against each other in a modified version of American football. In the latest trailer for Blood Bowl II, we see the speedy Skaven square off against the stout and hearty Dwarves.
The digital version of Blood Bowl is adapted from the Games Workshop tabletop game of the same name. In this sequel, developer Cyanide Studio has polished up the visuals and made it more accessible to those coming into Blood Bowl for the first time.
In the video below, you can get a sense for how turns work and get brief glimpses at player trading cards that carry important stats and crucial skills. Most importantly, you’ll get a look at the danger of the game. You can lose players to injury or death with a bad die roll.
There’s a campaign this time out, which gives players a way to practice developing a team as you would in a season with friends. The visuals and on-screen prompts are also far easier to understand without knowing the tabletop rules.
Blood Bowl II will be out on September 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
