Blood Bowl 2
A release date has been announced for a game that is quite possibly the most literal embodiment of the term "fantasy football." Blood Bowl 2 pits mythical races against each other while fusing the world of Warhammer with the chaos that is football. The release date announcement also comes packaged neatly with the reveal of two additional races; the Lizardmen and the Wood Elves.
The two new races, including their own AI, design, skills, and star players, will be available to players that pre-order the game on either consoles or PC. If two additional races don’t sweeten the pot enough, Focus Home Interactive has promised details about more pre-order bonuses in the near future.
The video above focuses on the single-player campaign in Blood Bowl 2. The turn-based football action includes random events, cartoonishly entertaining violence, and the ability to rank up and grow your team as the campaign progresses. Blood Bowl is a grid-based football game which, on paper, can sound a little odd. For a better look at how Blood Bowl 2's unique football mechanics work in game, check out the trailer here.
Blood Bowl, in all its fantasy football glory, will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 22.
