  • Blog Post: The Almost There Sequel

Bioshock 2 definitely has things going against it. Not being developed by Irrational Games, it also has an incredibly large pair of shoes to fill. Bioshock was one of the greatest games of all time, not just 2007. I am happy to say the sequel succeeds..mostly. Most of the changes to the game mainly deal... More
  • Blog Post: BioShock 2- Makes improvements over the first, but not a masterpiece

9.25/10 BioShock 2 is undeniably a great game, and while it does not change its formula too much from the first game, I found that it could deliver even more fun than the original with its well thought out plasmids and weapons, and while the story isn’t as captivating, it still is great. The graphics... More
  • Blog Post: An Emotional Masterpiece

This game is amazing. Not only does it feature the same beautiful ruins of an art style as the first game, but it lets you see them through the eyes of one of the earlier residents of Rapture. This feeling of being a part of the mysterious and terrible city immediately puts you in the mood of a survivor... More
  • Blog Post: bioshock 2 is a great game

This a great game it allowed me to use whatever weapon or plasmid i want at anytime. so if you want a good single person game you try this game. More
  • Blog Post: Bioshock 2: Return To The Rapture

Bioshock was one of those horror shooter survivor games that rocked the gaming companies forever. Bioshock 2 is nothing short of that. In fact, it's even more. The ending to Bioshock landed us in a place we haven't seen for these 7 hours of gameplay: Earth's Land. Now, even in Bioshock 2... More
  • Blog Post: Game Over... continue? Bioshock 2

*WARNING SPOILERS* (Secrets exposed from the original BioShock , play that first then read this! You've been warned...) If you’ve read my review of BioShock you can probably guess how excited I was for BioShock 2 . If you haven’t read my review of BioShock , here's the link. I’ll... More
  • Blog Post: A Thrilling Sequel

Not ever playing a bioshock game before, I was very nervous picking the game up. But when I did, it was worth the money. This game just shows you that somethings you cannot survive without. Subject Delta can't survive without Eleanor. But he does. When you have no first aid kits, out of drill fuel... More
  • Blog Post: Near Perfection

I honestly thought this game was amazing.I have had it since day one!People complain that in the Single Player you die too quickly as a Big Daddy and honestly, you kinda are supposed too.Since you are the "Prototype Big Daddy" your armor is a lot thinner, especially since it was before the civil... • Blog Post: Second Descent into Rapture Doesn't Diminish Its Charm

What is the difference between a game and a masterpiece? Many people feel that this difference is what separates Irrational Games' original Bioshock and its sequel, developed by 2K Marin. Like any follow-up to what fans call a landmark achievement in the medium, Bioshock 2 had quite a few steep obstacles... More
  • Blog Post: Bioshock Review

BIOSHOCK One more for the shelves... 4.75 PS3 - 360 >>Concept Decent story line with wonderful gameplay,it is a shame that this is lacking multiplayer. >>Graphics In my opinion the graphics felt quite dated. >>Sound Excellent sound quality, wonderful work on peripheral audio, forcing... More
  • Blog Post: It's Fun, But Not As Good As the Original

I recently rented this game from a local store, and went into it a little worried. I had heard the game was fun, but not as great as the original. Being without Xbox Live, I loved the focus on the single player experience of the first, since that is lacking these days. Knowing that multiplayer was added... More
  • Blog Post: Hooray, more splicers to pWn!

The first Bioshock was extremely creepy, but well made. Nearly everything about this game was amazing, but the few flaws it had stuck out like a sore thumb. However, with Bioshock 2, the storyline and gameplay were as, if not more, stimulating and exciting as the first one. I was also immensely impressed... More
  • Blog Post: Rapture is much alive

Once again we return rapture with an armored diving suit. Our return is a warm welcome with new weapons and plasmids to play with. The gameplay is identical to the original Bioshock but introduces new ways to use the controls. Splicers and the environment have a brand new look and makes rapture look... More
  • Blog Post: A glitch needing a fix

This game is good, and I think I would give this game an 8 or so if it didn't give me the worst glitch in gaming history: loss of all weapons except for drill, camera, and hack darts. I will come back and re-rate it as soon as the glitch is fixed and I can get a weapon besides the dredead drill. More
  • Blog Post: A Return to Rapture with an interesting twist

The first Bioshock was greatly accepted by the gaming community for various reasons. I would like to say the same for Bioshock 2, though I don't feel that the game was as powerful as it's predecessor. Although the game provided a very enticing, fun story, the environment in which it took place... More
  • Blog Post: Review: BioShock 2

The original BioShock is widely revered for its story telling mastery. Not only did it prove that it’s possible for a video game to feature a plot every bit as engaging as its film and literature counterparts, it also introduced gamers to one of the most unique and twisted worlds ever to grace... • Blog Post: New and old combine to make an overall fun game.

Bioshock 2 was a worthy sequel to the original. It had a very interesting story which was heavily influenced by the players actions. And even though the game feels a lot like the first, the new additions to old plasmids and using iconic Big Daddy weapons like the Rivet Gun and the Drill made the gameplay... More
  • Blog Post: I'm I deaf?

In many ways Bioshock 2 is as great or better than Bioshock, but in many was it is not. It is definetly not as creative in the levels. Siren Alley and Pauper's Drop are nearly identical. Outer Persephone is one of the smallest , most pointless areas in a videogame and should have been combined with... More
  • Blog Post: Great Story and different Perspective! ....with more on the horizon!

When i first played this game i was expecting it to be alot like the first, and i was ok with that! I mean the first one had a campaign i would never want to stop playing and the gameplay kept reeling me in furthur. But this game is alot of the same and alot of change as well. The story is a completely... More
  • Blog Post: One of the best games of all time's sequel takes a nosedive into concrete

What happed 2K? How did we sink this low? The original Bioshock was hands down, one of the greatest games of all time, so theoretically, the sequel should follow suit, right? Nope. Bioshock 2 essentially takes everything that made the originial incredible, groundbreaking, and overall fun, and shreds them... More
