bioshock 2 review

this game (like MW2) was destined for failure compared to its predecessor, the first of the two were too good for the sequel to compete, but what matters is how well they did what they wanted to do, not what they can't change.

I think the main problem for me was the main character itself, you go thru the entire first game watching big daddies whoop ass, and you  think " god if only i could play as one of those", then when they announce bioshcok 2 and you get to play as a big daddy you think "oh boy!" but in the end it was a flop, the big daddy is basically your old character with like 2 upgrades, i don't mind the fact that big sisters can whoop your ass like big daddies could in the first, what i do mind is that you can't be as mobile and powerful as big daddies in the first. The online I'll admit is pretty much thrown in there to try and up the replay value some; it's buggy, gltichy, laggy, and it's overall just thrown in there. But you were have to be a hair brained developer witch 2K Marin isn't,

Bioshock 2 is a game that suffered from too much expectation and a few problems/letdowns they brought on themselves
