Microsoft and Stunlock Studios have announced that Battlerite, the top-down arena brawler inspired by games such as League of Legends and Overwatch, is coming to Xbox One. Stunlock Studios is the developer behind other MOBAs such as Bloodline Champions and Dead Island: Epidemic.

Players choose from a variety of unique champions, join up with friends, and take on their enemies in an adrenaline-fueled coliseum setting, complete with a boisterous crowd. Teams engage in matches made up of several, short rounds rather than one drawn-out battle such as in League of Legends or Dota 2.

"We're super excited to release our first console title on Xbox One! Battlerite will usher a new era of arena brawlers for the competitive console fans, offering an amazing multiplayer experience. We’ll be unveiling more in the coming months, so keep an eye out for more news,” says Stunlock Studios CEO Rickard Frisegård.
