Bandai Namco and Creant Studios have released an announcement trailer for their new free-to-play PC title, Battleline: Steel Warfare. Battleline is a new take on free-to-play shooters, mixing third-person shooting with isometric strategy gameplay. In battles, players must advance the Battleline, a visible line on the battlefield, by winning battles and taking territory. Each inch you advance the Battleline brings you closer to victory.

In addition to the competitive multiplayer matches, there is a metagame where different Divisions (the game’s version of guilds) can battle for dominance over a world map. Each victory gives you further control of the continent, with other Divisions fighting for their share as well.

The game will feature tanks from across history, from World War I all the way up to today. You can level up your tanks by using them in battle, which will unlock more customizations for each vehicle including different shells and gear, each with unique effects.

Battleline: Steel Warfare is currently in development, but interested gamers can sign up for Beta access at the game’s official site right now. The Beta is expected to launch in November 2014, with the full game releasing before the end of the year.
