The lights are on
The Battlefield games have always looked great, but developer DICE has fine-tuned its Frostbite 3 engine for the fourth entry in the series. EA just released two new screens for the game and you can check them out for yourself.
These new screens show off the extraordinary amount of environmental details that DICE has been able to cram into Battlefield 4's locals. Check out the new screens above and below.
Battlefield 4 is coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 sometime this Fall. Click here to read everything we already know about the game and don't miss the 17 minute long trailer of the game here.

NEXT GEN NEEDS BETTER TEXTURES UP CLOSE!!! Games are always worse looking and less immersive when I see the terrible graphics/textures up close, hopefully next gen will change that...
wow two lousy screenshots just lazy dice
HOPE ITS BETTER THEN 3.
Looks good. I just hope the game is as good as the graphics.
Looks pretty good. I really hope that they increase the console player cap to AT LEAST 64. Other than that, I'd say that the only real improvement over BF3 (other than the basic, more guns, more maps, fewer glitches, less lag, etc.) would be the addition of an actual cover mechanism. Now bear with me on this.
IF it could be implemented properly (which I'll be the first to admit is a pretty damn big "if"), it would be right at home with the series. Given its emphasis on tactics over lead spraying (and the excellent suppression mechanic introduced in BF3), I feel like that would make the bale even better if you could actually take cove behind something rather than simply crouching behind it. What do you think?
Impressive? More like decent at most, sounds like GI is trying to hype up ol' BF4. Remember what happened to CoD through yearly releases?
DICE: “we don't want to become a Battlefield factory."
Yet Battlefield 4 will be coming out and still no sign of Mirrors Edge 2.
All ran from a PC. Not surprised if they never show a demo of the console versions before release date.
I was promised an "impressive look" but all I got was "meh". For shame sirs!
That gets me excited.
CANNOT WAIT FOR 64 PLAYER MATCHES ON NEXT GEN CONSOLES. no I don't play on pc my aim with a mouse and keyboard blows!
