It's perfect in every single way! The campaign is the BEST campaign I've ever played! You'll mostly hear the soldiers say the f-bomb all the way through. That's pretty awesome! In the beginning of the game, you're a soldier being interrogated by a bald guy in fine clothing. You really feel intimidated during these cut-scenes. You're being forced to retell your story to this bald guy in fine clothing. People might say that this is an exact rip-off from Call of Duty Black Ops, but I say "NO!" In Black Ops, you're being interrogated by a faceless guy, but in here, you're being interrogated by a bald guy in fine clothing - which is TONS better!

The campaign is extremely linear. But this is just amazing! If it were more open like the other games, it won't be as fast paced as running down an ally way. Don't worry! It still feels like BF! As there is a level that has you driving a tank in a very beautiful, brown desert! The graphics are amazing, and just the overall look is incredible! The grass is green and the dirt is brown. I wouldn't have it any other way. The graphical prowess is unmatched! If you look all the way down, you get to see your legs. You actually have legs in this shooter! This is extremely unique - especially compared to today's standards. I don't know a single shooter, scifi or modern, that has this kind of realism! Being able to look at your legs is revolutionary.

The guns are extremely realistic! I have not seen a single game with this kind of realism in weapons! Realism is all that matters in a game like Battlefield! Having recoil is necessary! It may not be overly fun, but it's realistic, and that's what Battlefield is all about. So, I welcome all the recoil! The vehicles in the game is fun as well! The helicopters are nearly impossible to kill - especially if an engineer is in there. But if you try and use the Stinger to destroy the helicopter, you'll probably get banned from the game by admins. I'm completely fine with this! That's your fault for disobeying their rules! You may also get banned for being too good. Again, this is a good thing. Because nobody wants to play with good players. Everyone should be sure to be fair, and share the kills. None of that lone wolf stuff! This is Battlefield after all.

There's also a coop mode! This is pretty much just the same as the campaign, but with people! The coop is insanely fun, because the campaign was fun, and since this is a copy and paste feature from the campaign, this is fun. In one level, you're able to drive a helicopter. I love this mission, because if I'm in the gunner seat, I don't have to do anything in the level, because the weapon isn't very powerful! This gives me time to use the bathroom, and eat my dinner. Trust me, you'll have a good time with coop.

This is one of THE best games I have ever played. I recommend this game to everyone! Even if you like RPGs and racing games alone, you'll love this masterpiece. If you don't own this game, go buy it! You're not doing yourself justice. Battlefield 3 is as revolutionary as shooters can get! I really don't want a Timesplitters 4 or a Half-Life 3, because I'll be playing this beautiful work of art for the rest of my life!

Overall:

Characters: Bald guy in fine clothing=Thumbs Up

Weapons: Recoil=Thumbs Up

Story: Typical military adventure=Thumbs Up

Setting: Deserts and grass=Thumbs Up

Note* This was written for comical purposes due to the boredom of the author. Thank you, and have a good day.

Blog Post: Not the Call of Duty Killer We Expected

Battlefield 3 is definitely NOT the "Call Of Duty Killer" as it was originally believed. It actually shares a lot with COD, and only really has better graphics in the end.

The Campaign is horrible, with a less interesting story than MW3, which this game was clearly trying to compete with. The graphics are amazing, although I would reccomend downloading the 2GB graphics update. It looks a lot better. It only last for about 5 hours, and has a happy, although definitely suprising ending. The campaign can definitely be skipped and isn't worth it to anybody other than those who don't play online all that often.

The Co-Op is like the the co-op missions in MW3, and they are more fun here than on COD. They are challenging for people like me, and just fun for more skilled players, I imagine. It is definitely worth playing at least a couple of times for when you get tired of playing the multiplayer, if you ever can.

The Multiplayer is amazing. It is definitely better than MW3, both with gunplay and graphics. The maps are a lot larger than CODs, which is a good excuse to have all the fun you can with vehicular mayhem. The game modes are mostly stuff already seen in games like COD, but they have a different feel and are a lot more playable. Although this game isn't as friendly to noobs as MW3 is, which should make playing COD a walk in the park after fighting in a park in Battlefield 3.

This game is an easy buy for any shooter fan who wants to see what EA can have on the shooter market and for anybody looking for a break from all the fast paced fun action of COD. This is a more than worthy replacement of COD, if not a better one at times.

Blog Post: Mediocre.

I am a huge Battlefield fan since 1942. This game was a disappointment in my opinion. Battlefield 2, 2142, and BC2 are far more fun than it. The bad: Huge balance issues, mediocre maps, exploits, Terrible singleplayer, far less destruction than the previous game, medpacks for assault class, horrible server side management of latency caused by out of region players (which has never been an issue in any other BF game), tons of people intentionally joining game modes to try and ruin it for others in various ways which constantly makes the teams uneven. The good: graphics, capture the flag, some cool weapons, good animations, prob best machineguns ever in BF game, pretty cool motion blur effects in certain sequences. The only reason it sold so well was the ridiculous amount of marketing towards young people, and pre orders from the far superior previous game BC2. The only reason people love it is because many of them have never played the other previous games in the series, and don't know what they are missing.

Blog Post: Still the one of the best online shooters out there!!!

I played through this and like everyone else I was impressed!!! I did have a few minor complaints. The fact that they added night vision, but that their new light source engine made it impossible to change the level lighting outside scripted events. The fact that this made certain levels with glass panes that never broke a bit annoying. Or that after waiting for a few minor game mechanic changes in single and multi-player, it looks like we'll be waiting for the fourth installment in the series.... That being said, I had a blast with the single player missions!!! I never really gave the overall look of the game enough credit until the act that the convoy get ambushed in the woods by snipers. I was shocked at just how good everything looked!!! Not to mention they brought a whole new level of vehicles into play. However, like a lot of people. I've got some of my favorite memories of squad based shooting in Bad Company: 2.... I can't think of another title I've been able to get near as many "Steel Wings" into. Truth be told, I'm still wondering how much the last piece of DLC will mean to the gaming community. Now that BF4 is on the way....

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

File: New Battlefield 3: End Game Screenshots

The latest batch of screens show off a lot of the new dirt bike.

Wiki: Battlefield 3 Guides

Guides for Battlefield 3

Wiki Page: Operation Metro on Rush: Part 1 Objective A

So here we go.

Personally, I find these guides a bit humorous and find most of them irrelevant. But I am contributing to my BF3 community and giving pointers to the nooblings out there...

Game Type: Rush
Map: Operation Metro
Position: Offense/Attackers
Class: Recon
Weapon: SMG/Spray Rifle of your choice (P90 Silenced for me)
Equipment: Spawn Beacon, TUGS

Best Scenario: Going Left to Plant A

The first portion of Operation Metro Rush is outside in the park. There is plenty of rocks, walls, and trees to hide behind. I would suggest going far left along the wall to start. Many players rush B and believe it's the easier one to Arm so I go for the sneak attack on A.

Take your Time!

When you're coming up on A you have to keep an eye for the guys that are perched on the rock in front of the Arm spot. Stay away from the walkway with the roundabout and just stay left against the wall using the bushes as cover. Many people are going to disagree with this but hear me out. The influx of rush attacking of B has opened up attacking A for those lone wolf players. Arming each objective at the same time is the best way to go about achieving victory because the enemy forces must split up their defense.

Now you may ask why I would use Recon? The answer is this: have you ever had to spawn in your base because your entire squad was dead? Yeah that's unfortunate. If I'm running left I will put the beacon where the brick wall makes a turn on the edge of the map just before A. This allows me to quickly get back to where I was if I died and gives me the one up on the enemy that just killed me. I can use this as away to bypass any unnecessary running time.

The TUGS is used as soon as I arm the spot. I throw that bad boy down and wait for the onslaught of enemy forces quickly scrambling to unarm. This gives me a sense of where they are coming from and allows me to get the drop on them.

I would suggest running with a teammate that is working with the support class because many times the equipment you lay down gets destroyed. Have your support class refill your beacon and TUGS so you have extras just in case.

If you are able to get up to A with no problems then I suggest you run past it and place a beacon behind the rocks on the far left side (many snipers like to sit in this spot). Throw down your beacon in a bush where it's hard to see. The enemy team will still be able to hear it but if there is an objective armed they are usually a bit more careless. By doing this, it allows you to be behind the arm spot and more of a surprise to anyone that runs by you. I use a silencer for this reason exactly. Flanking is my forte and this is how to do it best, with the aid of a beacon.

Now obviously you can't do this alone (most of the time) so make sure before you do anything crazy you have at least 2 allies supporting your attack. I suggest keeping a low profile for as long as you can before you go guns blazing because you will quickly die in most cases. I like to have one of them arm the objective because I can get a lay of the land and quickly take care of the enemies coming to defend. They are focused more on the objective than they are on getting rid of you. Take advantage of this.

Now this is the straight up laymans guide to getting A. There are some teammates that just don't cooperate or when the opposing team just really knows what they are doing. In any case - go for kills and get your points!

Worst Scenario: Spawn Trapped

I almost feel bad for the teams that my buddies and I trap in this first portion of the map.
Go right. Get up as far as you can. Plant your beacon behind the farthest rock. Hope they don't find it.

Blog Post: Why Battlefield is better than COD.

In terms of multiplayer, this one of the best games out there. It's fun, tactical and rewarding and you'll be playing it months after purchasing it. if you are only buying it as a single player experience, knock off 2 points from the score. The single player is dull throughout, there are only a couple of sections during the campaign where it's really good, but other than that it's really quite boring. Buy it for the multiplayer it's absolutely fantastic.

File: Battlefield 3 "End Game" Screens

Here are the first screens from the latest DLC pack from DICE.

File: Battlefield 3 "End Game" Screens

Here are the first screens from the latest DLC pack from DICE.

File: Battlefield 3 "End Game" Screens

Here are the first screens from the latest DLC pack from DICE.

Blog Post: Multiplayer at it's finest

Battlefield 3 is the latest game in a long running FPS series. I love all the previous Battlefields, but this one is the best by far. Battlefield 3 does have a single-player campaign to play, but it should not be the reason you would buy this game. BF3 is to be played for the MP.

Unlike most shooters where the multiplayer matches take place in smaller sized maps where everyone is running around with shotguns, BF3 takes place in sprawling maps that are around a square mile in size. The game maxes out at 64 player matches that fit well with the size of the maps. It is recommend though that when you start a match, go straight to a vehicle, because the maps are so large that you need to get to your objective quickly. Vehicles move smoothly and pack a nice punch with weapons, when you have team mates joining you in the vehicle it becomes even more fun where on player is watching the other players back. If you manage to get a good team this makes matches highly enjoyable.

BF3 is a very team based MP game. Your team is divided into smaller squads, which is recommended that you stay with them and back them up. There are 4 class types on the game. The first class is the Medic, which is there to heal teammates or revive them if they are down. When it comes to reviving a team mate you get 100 points, which is as many as you get for getting a kill, this shows the importance of team based gameplay, reviving a teammate is just as important as killing an enemy. The game encourages team work even more by giving you bonus points for healing a squadmate by giving you 150 points for a revive and 50 points for healing the squad mate. BF3 encourages teamwork like no other game I have played. By giving these bonus points the game makes you want to stay with your squad. The Engineer is the vehicle class, their duty is to repair vehicles with the repair tool, or destroy them with mines or a rocket launcher. When it comes to repairing a vehicle the game again encourages great team work, by repairing a vehicle that you squad mate is in you get bonus points as well. The Support class carries a light machine gun and is tasked with giving supportive fire to distract the enemy, they also supply the team with ammo. When giving supporting fire you get support kill points and when helping you squad with supporting fire you get bonus points added to the supportive fire points. Last is the Recon, they are the snipers and are tasked with taking enemies out at a distance and put down spawning devices that are used to, put your team behind enemy lines. Every time a teammate spawns on the Recons spawning device the Recon player gets points and bonus points for squad mates. It is best when in squads to have each player in your squads be one of these classes. As you can see the game does a great job at encouraging teamwork with the team and the squads. The developers did a great job at encouraging team work and make it almost like real war where the squads find ways to flank the enemies.

There are different MP modes like conquest, where there are multiple flags throughout the map that the each team is tasked at capturing and holding these flags. Each team starts out with a certain amount of tickets and when you team hold more than half the flags the opposing teams ticket begin to drain. Killing the enemies, increases the speed in which the ticket drain. Rush is another mode where there are are pair of devices called M-Com stations where one team is tasked with protecting them and the other team must destroy them. If the attacking team manages to destroy the M-Coms the defending team must move back an defend the next pair until there is not more M-Coms left. There is usually around 4 pairs of M-Coms stations on a map. The defending team can hold of the attacking team by draining their tickets before the attacking team can manage to destroy the pair of M-Coms. Rush is very team based, more so than Conquest. While most shooter put kills ahead of any things else BF3 put objectives ahead. Just arming an M-Com station to blow gives you 200 points the equivalent of 2 kills, then when the station is destroyed that nets you 800 points. The objectives are best reached through teamwork.

There is a single player campaign on BF3 that is fun to play about once all the way through. It has a very CoD style story about mercenaries and terrorists that attempting to use a nuke in New York City. BF 3 is a very team based MP game with large maps and some of the best graphics I have seen in a video game. If you want a shooter that put objectives ahead of simple kills BF 3 is for you. Just a warning though if you are new to the BF series, there is a slight learning curve.

Wiki Page: BF3-Assault Strike

Admit it, a lot of players use different classes in Battlefield 3, but when your health bar is between 32% and 5%, you're in trouble. Playing BF3 using an assault class is life saving, but again, you have be careful of what you are doing. And that's why I am here to give you tips on your BF3 Assault Strike Guide.

1st Tip - When your health is around 30% and there are no enemies or friendlies nearby, heal yourself with a health pack until it reaches somewhere between 80-100%. Also, make sure you are able to get to cover easily while remaining unseen.

2nd Tip - Don't let your teammates die down there! Revive them! Especially when playing rush. When your ticket count is around 20, you better revive a lot of players to get back on track. Just make sure there are no enemies around to re-kill your teammate after you revive them.

Final tip- Make sure your health is good enough to fight. When your health bar is between 10-30%, don't fight. Find a medic to get your health bar up. If you happen to be the medic then look for a safe place with your teammates and drop down a medic kit to heal yourself. This allows you to get back into the fight!

More tips will be posted. By the way, this is my first post. Please reply if you want to. :)
