DICE has said that films like Black Hawk Down and The Hurt Locker are serving as inspiration for its upcoming shooter Battlefield 3, which is evident in its Fault Line series of gameplay videos. EA and DICE have released the second video today, which continues the mission we first caught a glimpse of a few weeks back. The pacing is much slower than what shooter fans may be used to, but don't think that it's boring. If anything, the pacing in this mission draws out the tension, making those moments of actual action seem much more intense by comparison.

In the clip, we see a squad advancing on a sniper position. As the men inch their way across the rooftop, they're met with potshots from a .50 cal. That necessitates a bold response, as you'll see below.

In case you missed the first episode, you can check it out below. And for more information on the game, be sure to visit our Battlefield 3 hub, which is filled with exclusive videos and much more. The game is set for a holiday 2011 release on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
