The lights are on
Mark Hamill has been playing the Joker's voice for more than a decade, but he recently retired his take on the character. For Batman: Arkham Origins, Troy Baker has stepped in to fill the clown's shoes, and he offered a taste of his Joker at New York Comic Con.
The clip below is from a panel covering the development of Batman: Arkham Origins. They talk about bringing Baker on board to play the Joker in the game, and he reads a monologue from Alan Moore's comic, The Killing Joke.
Troy Baker has been a hugely prolific video game voice actor this year playing the roles of Booker in Bioshock Infinite and Joel in The Last of Us, and many others. Batman: Arkham Origins is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC on October 25.

Lol, that one chick yelling DO IT!
Really great casting choice, not just because Troy can mimic Mark's Joker, but because Troy seemed genuinely mentally unhinged and insane when he did the monologue.
I bet Mark Hamill is sitting at home saying "Thank God, they'll pester Baker for Joker Roles now"
Troy Baker is by far best male voice actor.
This guy is making a name for himself!
Great job! I approve.
If he can get the laugh to be a little less forced, the he will be a damn good joker. After this game, I would also like to see him try a different spin on the voice.
I think he does an excellent job. I don't think he sounds as good as Mark Hamill, but he's still really good.
Wow. Sounds amazing. I don't think anyone will beat Mark at this, but still great.
Awesome Joker voice, Troy has easily got to be the most talented actor in gaming..
Troy Baker you are a daggum phenom. He is beyond the most talented male voice actor I have ever heard. I can't wait to hear more & more of his voice work in the future!
This guy does a very good Joker voice. I think he's the perfect fit for the character.
