The lights are on
Mark Hamill has been playing the Joker's voice for more than a decade, but he recently retired his take on the character. For Batman: Arkham Origins, Troy Baker has stepped in to fill the clown's shoes, and he offered a taste of his Joker at New York Comic Con.
The clip below is from a panel covering the development of Batman: Arkham Origins. They talk about bringing Baker on board to play the Joker in the game, and he reads a monologue from Alan Moore's comic, The Killing Joke.
Troy Baker has been a hugely prolific video game voice actor this year playing the roles of Booker in Bioshock Infinite and Joel in The Last of Us, and many others. Batman: Arkham Origins is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC on October 25.

I was ready to be all disappointed, but that reading was SUPERB! It has the same pitched lightheartedness that Hamil brought while applying an underlying menace.
Wow, he did a good job. I could only think of Mark Hamill as the Joker and I'm glad Troy Baker impressed me. While I feel like its missing something, its still a really good Joker. :)
OOOH! That's really good.
I love it when voice actors put their hearts in it.
Troy Baker for President!!!!!
I actually really liked that.
It seems they found the best person to continue the joker as interpreted by mark hamil.
Wow... I am no longer worried.
I wish Mark Hammil and this guy would have Joker improv over a cup of coffee.
Holy Balls!!!! That was great. It's hilarious that he was in Injustice but didn't play the Joker.
Troy Baker has singlehandedly restored a little of my faith in this game.
I was very skeptical about Troy, but he has now proven, even though we allready knew, this proved he's easily one of the best if not the best voice actor ever. Giving Nolan North a very well run or his money.
Troy Baker will always be LEGO Batman to me :)
That was awesome. The perfect choice after Mark Hamill's departure.
This man is making a name for himself in the video game industry with the talent he brings to the table. Wouldn't be surprised if he reached the levels of Nolan North's popularity! His performance of Joel was one of the best displays of acting I've ever seen in a game, and I look forward to how he'll fill in Mark Hamill's shoes with the Joker. And from this video, I think he'll do more than fine.
very good sounds similar to mark's version, just giver this guy every joker role now, especially the cartoons
