The lights are on
Fans have often questioned what a multiplayer scenario for the Arkham series might look like. Today, we get our first look at three-team competitive play for Batman: Arkham Origins.
In the trailer below, we see three-man teams led by Bane and Joker facing off. But there's a twist. Batman and Robin are on the scene, making for interesting asymmetrical action.
The criminals seem to use a variety of gadgets and guns, with the dynamic duo having access to grapnel guns, batarangs, cape gliding, and in Robin's case, a staff. The multiplayer mode is being developed by Splash Damage, who most recently released the ambitious, but flawed, Brink. Batman: Arkham Origins arrives on October 25, 2013, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
The online mode will not be available on Wii U.

I hope the single player part of the game is good.
I feel bad for people without internet. They keep having to pay for a feature that they never get to use.
A multiplayer/cooperative element is what the Arkham series has been missing. Finally they are doing it, and this looks fantastic. For all the haters out there because this isn't Rocksteady and the fact that the developers from Brink are doing the multiplayer, calm down.
If you truly are a Batman and an Arkham fan, you should be supporting this game all the way. There is a lot this game is going to offer and I have high hopes that it will be the next great Batman experience. On a side note, you can't really tell me anyone actually liked Challenge maps? I thought that feature was boring since Arkham Asylum personally.
Robin looks awesome in this game
Wasn't expecting much, but the multiplayer is actually looking pretty good.
Looks good, but I hope we're not disappointed.
Looks pretty fun.
Looks pretty cool. It appears it may get boring after a while. But if they have a level system with perks and whatnot, it could be really fun.
It looks pretty god. Not into multiplayer much, but it loos like it'll have some replay value after the main story is over. As a Batman fanatic, I'm getting this on day one.
The fact that this doesn't take away from WB Montreal making the single player makes me happy. Ill give it a shot, whats the worst thing that can happen, I get turned off and end up just playing the single player campaign and challenge mode?
Sucks for the Wii U. I wonder why. I think it looks kind of iffy and what happens if you don't have a fun 3v3v2 match?
i wonder if there's more teams than just bane and joker
IMO, this doesn't really look good. And from what I saw of Robin, I'm gonna say I like the Tim Drake version from AC better. But, I am still super hyped for this game.
I'm really excited to try out this new Multiplayer feature, I've watched the trailer again and again trying to find hints to the gameplay. Now I'm even more thrilled to get the game and try it all out for myself.
Whoever is doing the voice for Joker is doing a good job. I don't know how I feel about the multiplayer, but I still want this just for the single player.
Looks confusing. To me anyway...
