Rocksteady turns awesome into phenomenal.

With Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady Studios proved that it was possible to make a great superhero game. Its revolutionary stealth and combat showed that superhero games can compete with games that carried big name developers on the cover. R.S. proved its worth with Arkham Asylum, but capitalized with its...
The Dark Knight May Have Returned, But It Seems The Joke's On Us

This hurts you a lot more than it hurts me, Batbrain. You know, when I first played this game, and saw the demos, I was on board with everyone else. It looked great, it sounded great, and it seemed like we'd get a bonafide hit. Instead, what we got was a mess of questionable ideas but with enough...
The Dark Knight Rises to New Heights

Sequels are always an interesting challenge in gaming. They usually don't have the same spark of creativity as their predecessors, but the gameplay tends to be a lot more polished. Batman: Arkham City is definitely a game that falls under the "more polished" category. The sequel to 2009's...
Review: Batman: Arkham City
on August 15, 2012 at 04:57 PM
Batman: Arkham City is the second iteration of Rocksteady’s highly praised take on the Batman franchise. Arkham City expands on the gritty yet plainly comic book inspired tone of the first, only this time rather than escorting a criminal to the loony bin Bruce Wayne finds himself incarcerated in...
Batman Arkham City: The Dark Knight's Finest Hour

Any review I write for this game probably can't be long or good enough, but Arkham City is easily the best superhero game I have played or hope to play in a while. If not for Zelda: Skyward Sword, Batman delivers the greatest game of 2011 for me. The story, characters, and gameplay all combine to...
This Game Should Be on Everyone's To-Do List
on February 26, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Arkham City has gone where I thought no licensed game would ever go. Take the star-power of Batman and his friends/villains (components of such a license), then add perfectly crafted concept art and environments, a dramatic story with impeccable voice acting, and great side missions and collectibles...

it just improved everything from the original and made it awesome in every aspect. nuff said.
Good Thing No One Knows Where I Live...

I don't expect anyone to either play or hate this game based on my score, afterall I'm no expert. I just know what I like after 25 years, and I only moderately liked a game that everyone else was pants-down for. I saw a lot of 10's posted for Arkham City, and am not one to argue. Its certainly...
Best Superhero game EVER!
on December 10, 2011 at 12:25 PM
When I first found out about this game I went to the website to watch the first trailer,in which I saw a burning Gotham City that is in total chaos, andd then a laughing Joker.I wasn't very excited about the,to be honest,I didn't even care about it.But the situation changed when I watched videos...
Rocksteady Improves and Stuns
on December 01, 2011 at 06:58 PM
Batman Arkham Asylum was great. It was good and fun and had great storytelling. Yet, this sequel blows everything else way. The criminals are smarter, the boss battles are tougher, and you can't believe the plot twists that happen. The graphics are as good as ever, and the cast gives it all to the...
Batman Arkham City: The Sequel that Batman Deserved
on November 23, 2011 at 01:40 PM
Sorry that this review is very late, I have been doing many different things but I finally put that all aside to do my first user review for this website, and I decided to review the first big blockbuster this fall. Back in August 2009 when I first played Arkham Asylum I really thought that Rocksteady...
The dark knight triumphs!

Batman: Arkham City is a remarkable success in every aspect. The only problem I've had with this game is a couple of random freezes. This games takes everything from it's predecessor and polishes and expands them to reach new heights of gaming excellence. The graphics and artistic desing work...
A True Experience for Batman Fans And Gamers Alike

Now, I have always been a fan of Batman ever since I was a little kid. I loved the animated series, had a lot of the toys, even had a six foot tall nightlight of him watching over me with my animated series blanket. But when it all comes down to it, it takes a lot for me to truly appreciate and accept...
Batman Arkham City Review - Awesome-sauce

I love Batman so when I first heard about Rocksteady's Batman Arkham Asylum I was worried. They released a demo so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was absolutely blown away. I bought the game when it was released and I loved every minute of it. Batman Arkham City uses what worked it Asylum and...
Video Game Review: Arkham City; The Dark Knight Returns Triumphant

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Considering Arkham City, Rocksteady’s and Warner Brothers Game’s smash hit follow up to the 2009 game of the year Arkham Asylum, came out a little under a month ago, it may seem strange to have taken so long for me to get around to writing...

Batman Arkham City exceeded my expectations. I think I am one of the very few who kind of disliked Arkham Asylum (The first game) because of the limited surroundings and exploration. Arkham City takes all of those away and the environment is not huge as free-roam games go but its big enough for me to...

Batman: Arkham City Review Kid Safe: Moderate (4.5 / 10) Game Quality: Very High (9.5 / 10) Genre: Open World Action/Adventure - This game takes place where choice is everything. Rather than providing a set story that a player has to follow, they are provided a world that they can explore and do as they...
