Batman definitely has his hands full in Arkham City. A run-down section of Gotham City has been quarantined and turned into a makeshift asylum for Gotham City's most dangerous criminals. A new trailer shows off two of these creeps in detail, and it's clear that the Dark Knight is going to have to use everything in his arsenal to take them out.

First, there's an encounter between Batman and the Penguin. Rocksteady's interpretation of the character maintains the character's trademark top hat and cane, while adding an interesting bit of flair. The cigar-smoking villain has clearly seen better days, as demonstrated by the device implanted on his throat. The trailer doesn't make much of it, but during the E3 demo we saw it periodically distorted his speech. That hasn't seemed to change the way his followers think about him, however, and the goons are more than willing to throw down with Batman to impress the boss. There, you see Batman using some of his new takedowns, including two-for-one attacks and some environmental kills.

The trailer ends with a quick glimpse of the bizarre Solomon Grundy. The Penguin has somehow incapacitated the zombie mastermind, but those chains don't look like they'll hold very long. Maybe it's best for everyone that the clip ends before Grundy can connect his massive decaying fist into Batman's face.

Check out the video below. Batman: Arkham City will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 18.
