Supergiant Games' Bastion promises to be one of the most charming and unique RPG experiences in years. To celebrate its launch next Tuesday, the developer has released a brand-new trailer.

If that whets your appetite, we encourage you to check out some of our previous coverage on Bastion. It's a game well worth paying attention to. It's also the kick-off to Microsoft's annual Summer of Arcade XBLA event.

I freaking love Summer of Arcade. Always such a fun month. Great, cheap arcade games. Always innovative, interesting, and challenging too. Can't wait for this, Dust, and maybe the terrible scary planet one, can't remember the title

I'll be purchasing this for sure. The narrator sounds awesome as well. He reminds of the guy who does the voice overs for the man vs wild commercials.

"Today...on bastion....The Kid fights a 7 foot bear with just an enchanted toothpick. Does The Kid really have to fight a 7 foot bear? Probably not......but you might."

Now I just have to find the time to play it.:/

The writer on this game is Greg Kasavin who used to be the Editor in Chief of that other game website that no one likes anymore that has a very similar name to that game store that everyone shops at. Shameless plug: I interviewed him in my latest blog. Click on my name and check it out.

Can't wait til next week so I can play this. Last time I cared this much about an XBLA title was when Shadow Complex got announced.
