Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky

New Entry Offers Two Different Ways To Play

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, the 15th entry in the long-running Atelier series, will be coming to North America on March 11, 2014. The game allows players to choose between two protagonists, Escha and Logy, which changes the gameplay. Those want to spend more time with synthesis and alchemy can choose Escha while series newcomers and those who want to play a more traditional turn-based RPG can choose Logy. The two characters will also experience the story from different perspectives. This entry is a sequel to this year's Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk.

Atelier Escha & Logy brings new features to the series, such as increasing the maximum party size from three to six and allowing the protagonist to use synthesized items twice in a turn. The game also uses the same engine as Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors. Check out screens from the Japanese release below.

  • Damn!! that is one long game title.
  • Turn based RPG. Yes please.
  • and another one. guess early 2014 is great year again!

  • I might need to finally pick one of these up. It's been a steady JRPG series all generation long, and it's supposed to be good. Gust has been cranking away at these things for quite awhile, after all - they're certainly better than, say, ImageEpoch. Releasing in March should be a nice, empty chunk of the release calendar too.

I'll try and check it out. Glad to see JRPG's return on consoles :) At least the PS3. Though not everything can be as awesome as Tales of Xillia, it's still great to see a bunch of new ones!
  • So many JRPG's coming to North America. I'm a pretty happy guy right now.

  • Awesome, old school turn based action.

  • Heck Yeah! Another awesome JRPG game! :D
