Ubisoft is touting the latest version of its Anvil Engine, which powers the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity. According to creative director Alex Amancio, the new technology gives his team the opportunity to build more complex worlds.
Unity also features more complete interiors than we’ve seen in an Assassin’s Creed title. As you can see from the video below (and the previous gameplay run-throughs), the inside of buildings are as important for traversal and locomotion as the exteriors.
We also get a look at an as yet unannounced female character in the video (above), though it’s not clear yet what role she plays. Assassin’s Creed Unity is slated for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 28. For more, check out our E3 preview.
