The lights are on
Those of you who pick up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can look forward to an hour of exclusive content.
In this developer diary, the game's director, Ashraf Ismail, talks about the three missions that PlayStation players will play through with Aveline from Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.
He also touches on some of the advantages of the next-gen version of the game.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag hits the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 29, PlayStation 4 on November 15, PC on November 19, and Xbox One on November 22.
For more on a different playable character in the game, take a look at this previous trailer.

Yea exclusive content. *reads one hour long* Well wait that's actually nothing really...the problems with console exclusive DLC...
eh, don't feel like I'm going to miss much when I get the 360 version, as long as it didn't affect Edwards story, I'm fine with this.
I really enjoyed Liberation so I'm looking forward to see what's in store for Miss Aveline.
I'm getting this game for my PS3, but I don't really care for console exclusive DLC stuff.
Hopefully they can find away to add the Vita's terrible extras to Aveline's gameplay on consoles. There's nothing like being in bed and trying to play AC on the Vita then having to get out of bed, turn on the light and point your Vita at it so you can do the stupid mini game. Immersive gameplay, I'd hate to see console gamers miss out on it.
This video finally made my decision for me, I'll be playing black flag on PS4 before Shadow Fall!! I'm super excited about this game especially on next-gen. Even though it is not built specifically for next-gen the world looks beautiful and immersive and I have really enjoyed AC from the begining and has always been a favorite IP.
Lame. AC is getting to be like Call of Duty. IP burnout anyone? Its great to have a cash cow but shameless exploitation ends up ruining it.
Cool,i never played AC:Liberation so it will be interesting to play as Aveline.
Not a veteran of AC: Liberation, so quite intrigued to see if the PS3's DLC of her will actually amount to something interesting. A shame that a female assassin wasn't the main focus of AC IV. Wonder how Connor's gonna reportedly factor into this too, has anyone heard more on that rumor? In any case, I may not give a hoot about the present-day conspiracies anymore, but I am looking to enjoy looting and plundering the Caribbean in high style this holiday.
I'm tempted to switch my preorder to the ps4 version but then again I'm thinking the next installment after IV might take more advantage of the new controller and I don't normally buy consoles at launch anyway, I don't want to end up with that one console that has a defect.
Honestly, the amount of DLC for this game is getting kind of irritating. It seems like you're missing a whole second game at times. I never really had much of a problem with DLC before but reading all the constant stories about further DLC being announced for this game is turning me against it pretty fast.
Exclusive content always pisses me off, luckily I really have no interest in this particular content, she looks like a really boring character and it doesn't seem like it will impact the main character and story of AC IV much at all.
Didn't assassin's creed 3 liberation get and HD remake for the main consoles for release in 2014?
It's always nice to have more content.
WooooW! A whole hour of content that has nothing to do with the actual story line of the game... such a shame I'll be missing out on that... oh wait but I have the superior version on PC so all is well.
