Assassin's Creed III Screens Depict Gripping Naval Combat

In a new batch of Assassin's Creed III screens released at Gamescom, we get to see some hectic naval combat in Ubisoft's Revolutionary War epic. We also get a glimpse of Connor Kenway battling at Bunker Hill and bow hunting. You know, this game might end up being pretty good.

  • Naval warfare is either going to be great, or it could lead to the downfall of AC3. Just praying that this isnt a vital part of the game.
  • I don't know about this game. The naval combat looks cool, but movie licensed games never work out well. It's great to see they got most of the original actors involved, but I'm still not seeing anything about Tommy Lee Jones OR Danny Glover, though. BUMMER!
  • You keep giving me more info on this game, and I'll keep eating it up...k?

  • I need to catch up on the other Assassin Creed games...

  • Assassin's Creed has yet to dissapoint me, and I don't believe they will with this installment.
  • Looks to be an intricate combat opportunity now.

  • I honestly have never been this excited for a game! And that is saying something!
  • I hope this isn't like den defense.
  • THIS! x 10...

    GAME OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! /bow

  • Probably my most anticipated game this year since so many of the best ones are being pushed back to 2013.

  • Yeah it might end up being pretty good...

  • I don't think that naval combat will disappoint anyone. From the the E3 naval demo, we know that you will have a variety of armaments available to you ranging from standard cannon balls, grapeshot to clear the deck, and chain shot to dismantle an enemy ship's sails so you can board the enemy ship. From what we know, the coast area it takes place in has it's own story, missions, and side missions separate from the the main story, so you can largely ignore it if you want.
  • The rts/tower defense segments in AC Revelations was really out of place. As long as the naval combat doesn't fumble in that same way, I'm down for anything this game has to offer.

  • I want to fight alongside Washington

  • Ubisoft is really trying to hammer the navel combat thing home. I hope it works.
  • awsom
  • this game looks So good....

  • This game is gonna be sweet!

  • These screens look beautiful and give me the chills of anticipation. Ubisoft can keep throwing news and screens at me, and I will keep eating them all up.
