The lights are on
For a start I've had none of the problems that reviewers keep going on about,on my PS3 it plays like a dream and as for the nightmare you keep going on about I find it a fun game with scares around every corner....The story is great and a worth while follow on from Aliens in game form. Like you I found the sound great from the plasma rifle to the Alien screams.. The graphics on my console are great plenty of detail so why you are so harsh I will never know...
It seems to me unless it's a certain game with very certain things going on you will always give it a lw score and one of the funniest things is that you and every other game site has the makers of these games in your office put all sorts of things to do with it all over your site and then once there gone you slag it off and I bet none of you say anything bad about to there face.....
Piffle you want to see this and that whar ever makes you happy then talk to them and get what you want made as me me and plenty of others we are more than happy with the finished product......

I don't think you actually even played the game. This "review" you have given seems like little more than an excuse to bash on GI because they reviewed the game and found it to not be very good. As to your view that GI is nice to Gearbox when they are covering one of their games and then bash the game after release, well it is just stupid. GI are doing their job. They probably had high hopes for the game before it's release. They covered it and gave it some exposure. It's not their fault that the finished project just isn't good. Gearbox is a great developer but that does not mean they will always hit the ball out of the park. I would much rather GI give an honest review than lie about the game's quality just because they like Gearbox. I am only a couple hours into the game but I'm pretty disappointed. I don't know why you are trying to say you didn't run into any of the problems GI mentions. I'm playing on PS3 also and yes it is a terrible looking game with bad AI and animation. You seem to think these problems rarely occur and GI just must be unlucky and this leads me to believe that you haven't even played the game. These are not rare glitches, the entire quality of the game is far below what you would expect from Gearbox. I love when people like you get upset over reviews and then try to bash the reviewers because they don't agree with your own views of what the game is or is not.
