The titular heroine in Alice: Madness Returns isn't exactly a damsel in distress. While she may find herself in plenty of distressing situations while exploring the dark corners of Wonderland, she has more than enough weaponry to help her along. A new gameplay trailer from EA highlights her arsenal, which is slightly on the unconventional side of things. Though really, what do you expect, when you're taking on armies of playing cards?

On the melee side of things, Alice has a knife for quick slashing attacks and a hammer-shaped hobby horse when a bit more power is required. Her ranged attacks are where the game gets a bit odd. She has a pepperpot weapon, which fires quick blasts of the spicy substance like a Gatling gun. If that's not enough, she can splash enemies with her teapot, dizzying foes caught in its wake.

The clip also shows off some of the game's enemies, including the aforementioned playing cards, samurai wasps, and the creepy-looking baby doll monstrosity shown above.

Look for the game June 14 on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
