Wombat On The Gril: Alan Wake Review

Alan Wake is truely scary game. It actually scared me MORE than Dead Space 2. Shocking.  Though some minor misteps occur this is a game that should not be missed.

Graphics: Honestly, I have a PS3 and a 360, and the graphics on this rival games for PS3 that are extremely polished. Sure, Uncharted 3's presentation is better, but really these are great.

Gameplay: This plays like most 3rd person shooters, the only difference is the amount of suspense.  All your enemies are " sheilded" by the Darkness. You use a lighting device: Flashlights, Searchlights, Car lights, etc. To take the sheild away, from there you just shoot em'! Though most times you're in a darkened forest, I enjoyed that inbetween scares they let you be in the day time of the town in cases that ussualy uncover some important plot points. However, the story is confusing and I recommend getting DLC to clear some things up.

Sound: The voice acting is pretty good, and the music adds on to the tension.

Overall: This.... is a buy. If you own a 360 and aren't ridiculus enough to ONLY like 1rst person shooters you should definiately buy this. I promise, you won't be dissapointed.

Acheivment difficulties: Medium
