Carbon Games' fighting and transforming robot-based free-to-play MOBA is getting a closed beta. The beta for the twin-stick title will have all the features of the main game, including single-player modes and competitive and cooperative multiplayer.

To sign up, all you need to do is visit the AirMech Arena website, hit sign up, sign into your uPlay account, and presto: you're in. On July 23 you will get an e-mail with your key and instructions on how to play.

In addition to this announcement, Carbon released three new screenshots which you can view in the image gallery below. The screens show an assortment of mechs that you can control in-game.

The beta starts on July 23 for anyone who registers. To play any of the online multiplayer, an Xbox Live Gold account is required.

AirMech Arena is set to release exclusively on the Xbox 360 this summer. If this is the first you're hearing about the title, be sure you read our preview from PAX East.
