The lights are on
I'm not sure what Adventure Time video games' obsession is with absurdly long names is, but the newest game keeps the trend alive.
This is our first look at the gameplay for the Adventure Time's first foray into the world of console gaming. The show's voice actors appear in the trailer to lend their thoughts, and angrily rebut the proliferation of spoilers.
Adventure Time: Explore The Dungeon Because I Don't Know! is coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and 3DS on November 12. To check out the game's box art, head here.

ADVENTURE TIME, DUNGEONS AND A REALLY LONG NAME, I'M IN.
Hate to say it, but this looks like a really bad retail game. I think it'd be fun if a game emulated the 10-minute goodness with ten-minute levels or something.
I thought it would be different, but oh well. I wonder how this will turn out.
It looks fun, but there is no way I would pay a full $60 for that. It just doesn't look like there would be enough content for that kind of gameplay. Maybe if it was like $15 like an Xbox Arcade game? That would be nice. I just hope they don't plan on selling it for $60...
Oh, it's just a Dungeon Siege-type game? I'm pretty disappointed there. I was hoping for either a full, 3D, vaguely Zelda-style adventure (unrealistic for a licensed game, especially one published from Namco's Budget label D3, I know) or another sidescroller from Wayforward. I'm not super pumped by what I'm seeing here... Wayforward seldom excels when they go outside their wheelhouse of 2D action. Just look at their last dungeon-crawler, Silent Hill Vita. I'll wait on reviews before making up my mind, but I'm super meh on this right now.
Why are people so upset by the way it "looks"? A 2D hack and slash like this would be fine if it weren't for the lack of personality. Adventure Time is all about the wondrous environments and hilarious interactions. This game presently lacks such characteristics. Definite pass.
So it looks a little like Gauntlet... count me in!
I wanna like this game but unless they have some great pre-order swag, I'll wait until it price drops.
