The lights are on
1-2-Switch is a confusing game. On one hand, It looks like it has the potential to introduce players to Nintendo's new console in the same way Wii Sports invited a whole new demographic of players into the world of interactive entertainment. But on the other hand, it also has a game where you simulate milking a cow while you stare into your opponent's eyes.
These commercials show off some new minigames and demonstrate what may ultimately become its main selling point: making you are friends look like idiots. I'm optimistic about 1-2-Switch being a fun collection of Johan Sebastian Joust-style active games, but from a distance, and from playing it recently, it recently seems like it should be a pack-on game.
For our thoughts on getting hands-on time with 1-2-Switch at the recent Swtich event in New York, head here.

Man, wonder how much that guy's getting paid. He's been in all of the Japanese commercials for the Switch.
I guess it worked? I'm going to milk a cow now.
I'm only interested in the milking mini game. Mmmmm
Commercials are fine. There are about 15 games I want to preorder with about 8games preordered already
If they really are charging full price for this junk then they deserve to fail.
Sorry it doesn't make me want to Switch
lol Japan is so weird. Anyway, despite being a tech demo, this should not be a pack in. It sends the wrong message about what the idea behind the system is. Wii Sports is what the Wii was about, so it was a great pack in. If you don't want the game, don't get it, simple as that. As a pack in, it forces it on you, raises the price of the system and makes it look like Wii redux.
Yeah, um lame?
In my opinion this is a terrible idea. I'd rather play a board or card game.
