The lights are on
I have had my Vita for around two months now, and it's been great. Console-quality gaming on the go with HD graphics, dual-sticks, and a highly-responsive touchscreen. There's been lots of great games so far, but which one is your favorite?
Mine would be a tie between MLB 12: The Show and Mortal Kombat. They both give you versions of the console versions but meet the needs of the handheld. It's great jumping between PS3 and Vita in The Show, and while I never played Mortal Kombat the first time around on consoles, it's been a great game and from what I've seen is just like the console version.
It's a hard choice--Uncharted, Mutant Blob Attacks, Unit 13, and Burning Skies (despite the reviews) were all awesome. However, I would have to say Gravity Rush has been my favorite so far.
May favorite Vita game is Gravity Rush, with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 coming in at second place, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss at third.
I've really enjoyed almost every game I've had for the Vita since I bought it. Hot Shots World Invitational had me addicted to the Vita for the longest time. I just beat the MGS HD collection and loved it. but Gravity Rush has been the most unique experience thus far and definitely worth praise.
Honestly, I've fallen in LOOOOVE with Disgaea 3 for the Vita.
I'd never played a Disgaea game before, and though those Gamestop employees tried to dissaude me ("Are you sure you want THIS game? Ummm... Are you sure? You are? Really? OK.... Are there any games you'd like to pre-order today?") I took a chance, and I really like it. It's perfect for portable play!
Uncharted was good but...didn't really feel like the console versions. It left me feeling empty. Gravity Rush on the other hand, looks great. I'm thinking of picking it up this weekend.
Disgaea is a fantastic series. I hate it when Gamestop employees try dissuading people from buying a game. They probably saw the anime art style and cringed. Also, Gravity Rush is a great game, you won't be disappointed if you buy it.
edit: I meant disappointed, not disappointing.
Hands down Uncharted. My first entry in the series and what an amazing game. Played it almost everyday since launch and am nowhere near getting tired of it. I hope they do more Uncharted Vita titles.
I'd have to say Gravity Rush even though the combat is pretty dull and repetitive. While Uncharted was good, I was disappointed with the length and some of the mechanics. I also really enjoy the Metal Gear Solid collection even though it's not an exclusive. One of my favorite game series was transferred perfectly to the Vita and gives you an awesome amount of content for $40. Disagea is also a blast. Great JRPG with an unbelievable amount of content. I highly recommend these titles to anyone who is trying to find a good game for their Vita.
haven't played on a vita.
BAM BAM WHAM BAM
COME ON, THANK YOU MA'AM

EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT IT'S TIME!
Well being 8 Months into the little handheld I have a handfull of favorites. Uncharted Golden Abyss, Motorstorm RC, Unit 13, Resistance Burning Skies, Pinball Arcade, Gravity Rush, and Need for Speed Most Wanted. Others on my list I look forward to picking up would be AC: Liberation, Silent Hill, Zero Escape, and Little Big Planet. Played the Demo's for the last 3 mentioned and couldn't put the Vita down.
id say its a hard choice out of what i played much so far but because of plot i think uncharted and in second lbp. It will likely change if i take the time to push threw acII liberation
as for a non exclusive im sure if i played it on vita it would be mgs2 like everywhere else
My favorite so far is ACIII: Liberation, I know it's a little hard to get into, but once you get rolling, it's a console AC game. Some of the features can be a little wonky, I don't like when developers try and force the Vita functions, most of the time it doesn't work out. But thankfully it doesn't become a problem.
as of when you posted this gravity rush now to close to call
PS All-Stars and Sly Cooper are some other great games just like the console versions.
