The lights are on
This series is probably the most underrated ever. The basic plot, is that in each game, a man named Adol Christian is in a boat, simply traveling around just for the fun of adventure. Whenever he comes to a new land, he always seems to get wrapped up in whatever turmoil the land happens to be in. The trilogy on the PSP are remakes of older games that came out on home computers back on old home computers (With the exception of Seven)
I've played Seven, and Oath in Felghana to the fullest, but I just picked up the remake of the 2 original games, and the first few minutes are not quite living up to my expectations.
These games are RPGs with some action elements. The combat is more exciting and relies more on timing than on planning. There's a level up system, and you can forge different weapons for yourself (Though this differs depending on the game you're playing) and in Seven, there's a party system that allows you to take 3 characters into battle with you at once and switch between any of them at will.
These games are amazing, and if you have a PSP, I highly recommend you give them a look.
And that's what she said.
I've played them, and yes they are quite underrated.
The music was so far ahead of its time. This song was made in 1991...
The animated scenes were quite revolutionary too. It was one of the first RPG's to feature voice acting. Sure, the gameplay itself wasn't too innovative, but it was a good series to play nevertheless.
Yup. Ys always had a good soundtrack. I liked Seven's the best though. Felghana's was a bit forgettable. Other than "The Boy's got Wings" remix.
I have been looking at these, maybe I will give them a try....Thanks
