  • I think your sister is right this time lol. If you have an old model of the ps2(fat ps2) there was an online adapter you needed to buy and attach to the back of it.

    I know if you have a ps3 you can go online with it because I check on games I had but no one was on lol.

  • Hey Chris, you have to buy a Network Adapter for the PS2, it just attaches right to the back of the system. I got mine when I purchased Final Fantasy XI, and they are getting kind of hard to find. Also, I don't think it can be connected via a wireless connection, so be sure you have a modem close enough to run a cord to the adapter.

    Edit: Collision is correct, you have to have the "fat" version, not the slim. On the PS3 note that Collision also mentioned, yes, you can use a PS3 for your online PS2 games, however, some models of the PS3 (even when a software patch is installed) are not backwards compatible and you will have no choice but to use the PS2.
