The lights are on
So I wake up this morning to my girlfriend saying a Fraud company just called about our credit card account. They asked us if we made purchases from France. If we purchased a World of Warcraft account. (which I do not play) and many many other things. I'm so pissed right now. I had to change account numbers, credit card numbers, and debit. Thanks Sony now I wont trust you with my initials let alone any other info.
Get your Portable ID!
...Didn't Sony advise you to already change your information?
Sorry but to me it seems like you're the one who dropped the ball. Yes it's Sony's fault that this happened, but they blatantly told you what you need to do.
And they've also said that no information had been stolen...so I have trouble believing you're serious, especially since you love to troll and make spam threads.
Also, nobody forced you to give Sony your credit card number. You could've bought PSN cards in any department/grocery store and use those instead.
This is the troll that kept posting on every EVERY Sony thread there was ok look imnot gonna cuss im gonna tell you some logic. First off why did you even put your CC info onto the PSN you knew there were perfectly good PSN cards out there to use so its already your fault when you put the CC Info out there. Secondly, When all of this happened and you heard there as a possiblity peoples CC info got stolen common sense would tell you to call you cc company cancel the card and be done with it but just like everyone else out there you waited and wait and hmm waited to see what would happen and when (you) got called you decided to blame sony good job. And C, all of this could have been avoided if you know, you used that thing called a brain to call your company cancel your credit card or like Nick said change your info, if it was me who had CC info on PSN when this happened first thing i would have done was cancel my card. See a little common sense could have avoided all this.
I'm a little troll? I dropped the ball? You really think its easy just to take time out of your work day ( which you probably don't have a job ) to call the credit card company and have them change the number. Oh yeah and call the electric company, phone company, satellite, car insurance, home insurance, and many other things I had to change. You never had to do any of that because you don't pay bills! So yah its not that simple nitwit. And this has never happened to me so I think it is above coincidence that this occurs weeks after the Sony incident. So troll this ****ERS
By the way... You guys are truly idiots. I create a thread to warn people that this is occuring and you say I'm stupid for not buying Playstation cards ? If I don't want to go to the store after my mommy gives me an allowance then I become a grown up and put my cc to buy whatever I want to buy.... I swear the stupidity that comes out of your guys' mouths is laughable.
Its not only changing your cc if you pay bills with it ! *laughs with everyone else* My g/f even laughed when she read this .... She was like "They just don't have a flippin clue about life"
''they don't have a flippin clue about life'' i think you should take a look at what you just did....dont try to make yourself sound like an adult when your complaining on a gaming web site.. lol
Whatever peels your orange
on the other hand.. your situation does suck and i feel for you. thanks for the warning.. although my ps3 broke a year ago..and i'm to cheap to get a new one lol
That sound's truly inconvenient, but it may not have been sony's fault. I know people who don't even own PS3 system's that have had their CC info stolen. It's a humongous hassle. I know what your going through though, i pay my bill's via DC and when i switched bank's i had to jump through hoop's to get all of my bill's reassigned to the new card. Not fun.
On another note, sony did warn everyone to change there info. I could use My DC or CC on PSN but i prefer to take the time to buy a PSN card. It not as easy as just setting up my card, but its worth the trouble. Hope everything get's straightened out for you. :)
Kill'em with kindness, it's a slow painful death.

Looks to me like Rave is just venting. I don't read the forums very often, so I don't know if he has a history of trolling, but I just hate to see so many people jump on his case. I can totally see how some people might not have had time to change their info and I personally never saw the benefit of using those PSN cards before this whole debacle.
Thanks Dusk.... I'm only trying to warn people out there that this happened. I'm not trolling or whatever you guys call it. I don't even know what trolling is. I just know this happened to me earlier this morning and I'm pissed as hell. Now with the notion someone else might have done this then fine.... but it does seem a little coincidental to me that this has never happened to me before until Sony allows (yes they could've had better security you don't see this type of thing of this magnitude happening to any other company) their security to be breached.
this isn't just a gaming site it is an informative site that some people go to to get information about gaming news. Now if you put 2 and 2 together you see that this has everything to do with gaming news.
Sorry to hear about your situation. Hope you get everything worked out.
The flaming in this thread is going to stop right now though.
