  • well if your into action games then I'd recomend B- man Arkham Asylum, Red Faction Gurilla, Uncharted(uncharted2 when it comes out, and if you like rock music and gore, then choose brutal legend

  • there are so many. Modern Warefare, Assassin's Creed, Infamous... whatever suits you

  • I'd say oblivion. It's really replayable, so it's a really good investment.

Kill'em with kindness, it's a slow painful death.

  • iNFAMOUS and if you don't like that, get Prototype, it's a winning formula. You'll have a lot of fun with one of them, it's almost a guarantee ^_^.

  • This is in no way all inclusive. Just my recommendations.

    Shooters
    Killzone 2
    Resistance 2
    Warhawk
    SOCOM Confrontation

    RPG's
Valkyria Chronicles (HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION ON THIS LIST)
The upcoming Final Fantasy XIII games.
    Demon's Souls (coming this Tuesday)

    Racing
    Burnout Paradise

    Action
    Uncharted
    Uncharted 2 (coming the 13th)
    inFamous
    Sains Row 2
    Brutal Legends (coming the 13th)

    Fighters
    King of Fighters XII
    BlazBlue

  • @ Marc, Valkyria is a niche rpg and not something i would recommend to somebody.

As far as fun things to play on ps3 i would say:

    -Batman AA

    -Grid

    -Oblivion GOTY

-Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD remix

-FF7 and Tactics out of the psn store

and of course Brutal Legend when that comes out... its gonna be epic.

  • Whatever you do, finish Uncharted before you roll into Uncharted 2.

  • The only console specific games worth playing are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet. Everything else is either crap or available for another system... or both.

Pro tip, if you're dead set on being an anit-Sony troll, that's fine, just keep it to yourself please.  You're not going to make any friends here with posts like that, you're just going to potentially start a flame war.

If you're going to be that hard against Sony, at least expand upon why you think Sony's other triple A titles are all "crap."  I ask you, have you even personally played all these other titles that you insist are crap, or are you just automatically labeling them such because they're on the PS3 and not another console?

Anyways, back on the OP`s topic I would highly recommend inFamous.  That's one of the most addicting games I've played on the PS3 so far.  You may also want to look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Devil May Cry 4.  Valkyria Chronicles is a great tactical RPG to consider as well.  Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2 are all great shooters on the PS3.  I've heard some people say that they thought the controls for Killzone 2 were on the stiff side, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

  • Hey, no fight in this forum! If Ladron de la Noche says they are crap, well that`s his opinion, ok?

  • @Marc; Also Ratchet and Clank games for the Action genre; Modern Warfare 2 if you aren't getting it on 360 for Shooters; Assassins Creed 2 for Action as well; God of War Collection for Action (when it comes out); and of course God of war 3 when it comes out.

  • If you want a game with a great story, Infamous, Heavenly sword, Uncharted, and Battlefield: Bad Company are all wonderful choices. If you like Multiplayer, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield 1943, Resistance 2, and Fat Princess are all fun, and relatively simple. If you like strategy, Valkyria Chronicles is your best bet, considering that's the only Strategy game i know that's on the PS3. I know it'd be expensive, but for an optimal amount of fun, you should get all of these ^.^

  • If u have time to wait for a game Modern Warfare 2 will be out in about 6 weeks or Dragon Age Origins would be worth waiting for.  As far as racers the original motor storm or GT5 prologue and Grid are all good ones but sorry no mmos on ps3

  • I'M A STRONG 2K FOOTBALL FAN. I HAVEN'T SERIOUSLY PLAYED MADDEN SINCE 2005 & NCAA 08 WAS MY LAST COLLEGE GAME.

I'VE RECENTLY PLAYED THE DEMO OF MADDEN 10 ON PS3 & HAVE YET TO PLAY NCAA 10.

BUT WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM AS FAR AS FEATURES, GAMEPLAY, BUGS, UP SIDES, & DOWN SIDES?

    WHICH GAME IS MORE WORTHY?

"THE THING ABOUT COMMON SENSE IS THAT, SENSE HAS NEVER BEEN COMMON" - DMX

  • Well NCAA and NFL are completely different games.   They play different and they both have pros and cons I'm sure.  I haven't bought Madden since 08, but I'm a avid fan of NCAA so I'll give my opinion on that one.

In NCAA there are a lot of new features

Better Animations is a big one but still not great.

The new Season Showdown mode is cool because you pick you fav school and you can earn points for your team no matter what you do with the game.  YOu can even earn points away from the game by playing Trivia and earning points that way. You collect points through online, offline, Dynasty and Road To Glory mode. Even if you don't use your fav school you can earn points for them when you play.

So many schools to choose from!!!!

If you want to create a DII school or even a fictional school you can with Team Builder through your internet browser and it's pretty cool to see your team come to life in the game.

The Road To Glory is fun because you create a player and play your way to your senior year using only your player, if you are a quarterback you have more freedom.  But you still can't pick your own plays.

Again college is waaaay different from the NFL but I suggest you rent them both and then decide.  I'm more of a Saturday Football fan myself because those kids play with a lot more heart than professionals do nowadays.

Overall NCAA 10 is a lot of fun but it all depends on you.
