To play the awesome exclusives. Infamous, Uncharted, God of War, Racteh and Clank, Sly, Resistance. Littlebigplanet...
One died in India. Three was tracked down in Brazil. I am the only one left. I am The Second Musketeer
I first bought a Wii but decided it was too casual for my tastes and I really enjoyed the PS2 and was too unflexible to try the 360. I, however, do not regret my decision, the PS3 is my current ideal.
- Just my two cents.
reliability, demons souls and trust that the company will deliver
I just bought mine a month ago for Uncharted 3. after finishing that one I finished Uncharted 2 and now I'm really looking forward to all these awesome exclusives!
because i've been hooked on the playstation brand since i was a teen with my psone. no other system at the time was taking the chances that the psone was. and the ps2 upped the ante on weird original titles. the ps3 cut down the number of weird just for fun games, but didn't cut the quality of the games.
The spec sheet. At the time, I couldn't believe they packed that much power into a console. It's a shame that developers as a whole took 5 years to really start using it's power. I still love it though. I miss Linux and the web browser is useless, but when it comes to gaming (it's intended purpose) the PS3 can't be beat. The exclusives make the system a must-have.
360 kept failing at a hilarious rate, decided enough was enough.
Better games, blu ray player, and also the online is free.
I actually was never planning on getting a PS3. I have an xbox and i had just bought skyrim for it on 11 11 11. Well, black friday rolled around and, being some who hates all that ***, didnt go. I got a call from my brother (who owed me 50 bucks), and he told me that Target had a PS3 bundle on sale for 200.
So, with the 50 he owed me, he purchased the system. When i paid him, with the 50 dollar deductible, i wound up paying 160 (the extra 10 for tax). It came with Little Big Planet 2 with all DLC and Ratchet and Clank and an extra controller. I couldnt really pass up.
I prefer this system over XBOX anyday for so many reasons. One being the internet searching.
Mostly just for Sony's 1st party titles and any exclusives. A big factor was Uncharted and the fact that I got the PS3 on Black Friday for $200, with two games. Pretty awesome deal.

I bought the same PS3 in November, but at Best Buy around midnight-ish.
However, I prefer the Xbox 360 over the PS3 for almost everything. I hate the PS3's Xbeam interface as it's clunky as hell, and I don't surf the internet on my consoles, so I don't care about that.
Hmmmm... still need to play LBP2...
Three reasons, 1) My friends had it 2) Better original ip's and 3) Free online, plus everyone makes the argument over controllers but they have xbox controller layouts for ps3 and vice versa.
I have a ps1 and ps2 so i decided "what the heck, might as well" and I didn't have the money to pay for online service with x-box, and motion gaming isn't really for me
What was that sound you say? It is the rumble of your doom, and my incredible awesomeness.
The same reason a white chick dates a black guy, to make daddy (nintendo) mad haha. Butt really just to have all of them.
