The lights are on
Seriously, I'm sitting here staring at my Blizzard Downloader (Yet again!) after I attempted to swear off the game several months ago.
What is it about WoW that is so appealing?
I wouldn't know if it can be quit. I refuse to even try it. You can't be addicted to something you've never tried.
But my main excuse is that my gaming PC died.
I side with Smashter, I will not play it because I know it will consume me. Works out better that way.
I tried to quit wow but I just keep going back to it, it might be my guild or just the fact that I put my fair share of effort into it that makes me keep playing.
well dude i play wow. and it seems like every complains about how consuming it is. i think everyone can control themselves in there own way. i have a gf, i play football (varsity starter), and i keep up good grades. and i still have enough time to play xbox chill wit my friends and do some raiding. u just got to learn to watch ur own playing time. and i know a 25 man raid through ulda or naxx sounds like a good time but trust me you will thank me when u say no to it and go out with ur friends. and u may think that i am a noob who has low lvls and what not. but i got an 80 and raid all the time and pvp. im working on my second 80. bro u just got to u know watch the time. you may even wanna try setting an alarm so u know how long u have been playing. and before i finish this i got to say im an alli they take things less seriously, and horde play the game way to much :P lol well good luck on ur adventures my dude
i agree 200% with Mr.SmashterMeister
You cant believe everything you hear on the Internet, that's how World War 1 started.
I'm testament to "Yes, you can." WoW just never interested me; I played for a while, and I had a great guild, but eventually I just... stopped. I lost interest in it; maybe because I was at the horrible spot that is level 60-70 grinding, but meh; I haven't touched it in three months, and I only played it consistently for two (on and off for a year or two before that). I occasionally give it another chance, but I can't go back to it.
DC Universe Online or Star Wars: The Old Republic, though, will both keep me glued to my PC.
I quit every now and then, always come back.
btw how do you add a sig?
I refused to try wow then my friend downloaded the free trial and wanted to play with someone he knew so i downloaded it also and we both didn't see what all the hype was about.
Personally I never thought of it as being that great...I thought many other free MMO's were better, and Ragnarok Online used to be a personal favorite of mine, but I played it a few times, got a good lvl 12 or so before I actually put it down and said "this kinda sucks and a bit too nerdy" I had a gf of mine who was lvl 80+ with maybe 6 or 7 characters, she showed me around it loads of times, gave me stuff, but I never got real into it... it kinda bored me some. This girl was real sexy too, she begged me to play it basically...but I just really didn't feel like it. I wound up dumping her cause she was playing it so much and we couldn't spend that much time together, tried working it out 3 months later, then dumped her the same way... It's pointless sometimes when people have addictions, like a gf I knew 5 months before her who played FFXI Online non-stop...little less sexy, but still 'wow'...same thing I dumped her for... I don't think it's the game personally, I think it's just the PC people are addicted to, cause if something else comes out you might find better, then you might likely try it and go for it if it has massive online and multiplayer support like WOW does. I'm into MMO's myself, and so far PWI is the only thing I'd want to play at the moment, until I find something more entertaining... I've played Ragnarok, FlyFF, Maple Story, Gunbound, Perfect World International, Starcraft, Warcraft, and at least 12 other MMO's... Warcraft is surprisingly at the very bottom (least 5 favorites) of the list.
Hi, i am planning on buying world of warcraft, it loks really fun, i just want to know what expansion packs i should buy and which one is the main game? or is it just all expansion packs?
i know the lynch king or whatever is the last one.i just want to know what i need to buy to have all the gamewith the expansions.
sorry if i confused you lol.
I suggest starting with the battle chest. Then when you get to it you can get WoLK.
Btw, see you in 3 years.
I quit WoW earlier this year, and haven't looked back.
I picked up TF2 and find it to be far more fun for myself. If you enjoy class based PvP and haven't played TF2, you are doing yourself a disservice.
Especially when you can find it for a measly 10 bucks now.
Nothing to me.
I tried it, hated it.
Yah get the battle chest since if you want to roll blood elf or blueberry you can do that. Also their starting zones are really easy to level in.
