The lights are on
First off hello, I made an account here because I have been looking for this game everywhere and can't find it.
There was a story with a developer demo of an upcoming spaceship style shooter game that I really liked. At the time I didn't have a gaming Pc and when I saw the demo of the game my reaction was 'that game looks awesome!!! too bad I'll never play it cause I don't have a good gaming PC'. Well, since then I got a bonus at work and spent it on an awesome new gaming laptop. This article was out maybe a month or two ago, I'm thinking around the time of E3 but I'm not sure.
It was 3rd person in that you the player was outside of the ship following behind it. The developers even pointed out that they are doing something with lights or colors on the back of the ship to indicate ammo or heating or cooling on weapons. The developers also showed how the ship has a sort of a barrel roll turn around move it can do to flip so you can defend your self from enemies approaching from behind.
This game also appeared to take place flying around on a planet, not in outer space per se. The planet was sort of wintery I would say. This was a high end realistic style.
Also, it isn't any of these:
Star Drive Unity
I'm sort of upset by this because I really really want to play this game, but since I can't find it it either must not be out yet, or might even be really far out in the future. I swear the original article I read, along with the video I saw was on Game Informer but it was a while ago so I'm not sure.
Any thoughts on what game that might be? Anyone remember the demo/video?
Thanks in advance.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm starting to think I imagined it, but in all the E3 commotion it's likely it's just hard to find the story.
Try Starpoint Gemini 2, its 3rd person looked from behind as u described.
Battlefield 3 and Primal Carnage.
BF3 is space?
No, Sorry OP I'd help you if I could but I don't have a clue.
Beyond Good and Evil is a terrific game but it is showing its age. I also believe the version on steam is the original and not the HD update (I may be wrong on that). If you can get past the aging mechanics it has a really charming story with some excellent characters.sdsd
