The lights are on
I'm a veteran EQ and WoW player. I've recently gotten my wife to play on the EQemu servers with me, and we've had a good time. However, i think we've run the course on EQ nostalgia.
I am looking for input on a new MMO we can play together. Looking for PvE, co-operative. Preferrably something that we can duo with little (or no) other help. Thinking about looking into Star Wars Old Republic.
Guild Wars 2 is a good option...it's a really pretty game and the combat is very engaging. The only downside is the lack of skills that you can get but otherwise you can't go wring with GW2...plus there's no monthly subscription all you have to do is buy the actual game!
I can vouch that The Old Republic is a great game. It's strength is mainly in the story-lines though. Guild Wars 2 is a fantastic world of discovery that, in my opinion, is at the cutting edge of modern gaming. I haven't played it much, but I also have a soft spot for Funcom. If you're looking for something new and unique you might want to check out The Secret World. Honestly, there are so many good options out there its hard to go wrong. I'm still trying to decide what I'll play after TOR!
ive heard very good things about DayZ but haven't gotten a chance to play it yet
If you haven't tried it yet, Final Fantasy XIV: Realm reborn is worth a check. You get a 30 day free trial when you register and the game is only $15 dollars on steam.
