The lights are on
So I've been playing MMORPGs for a long time, 10+ years now. It started with Ultima Online, then to Dark Ages of Camelot, followed by a long stint where I bounced around all sorts of MMOs, such as EQ2, GuildWars, Age of Conan, EVE, and so on before settling down into World of Warcraft for the better part of 7 years.
And now I found the game that will be my personal WoW Killer.
Trials of Ascension (ToA) is a MMORPG in development by the Forged Chaos team. It promises to bring back risk, challenge, and meaningful choice to the genre. By combining such features as player-created and managed villages, skill-based character advancement, a variety of game-play options via a plethora of races, dynamic spawning, and combat that will rely on skill instead of equipment, they just might be able to step out of the mold.

Thanks for posting this article, Elyssia. I really like the planned design of this game and I especially hope their Kickstarter succeeds because I definitely want to play it someday.
I do too! They've added a lot of great information on their Kickstarter:
