The lights are on
So I got a new PC a month and a half ago. I've been playing some of my favorite games (skyrim, battlefield) and everythings been great. But recently I've been getting into more games and I'm trying to expand my experience. Well for the past 3 weeks my PC experience has been a literal hell. I NEED HELP! Here are the issues I've had
4 of my games don't have the on screen mouse (infestiaon, survivor stories/planetside 2/mass effect 2/3)
3 games wont start (splinter cell blacklist/mass effect 1/just cause 2)
2 games crash mid game at the same point.(metro last light/splinter cell blacklist)
I don't know anyone personal that can help me with these problems so I'm reaching out to this community because I know for a fact I can get some help.
For each one of these games I have re-downloaded them at least once. I look on steam and Origin for help but nothing works. I've tried getting feedback from them but I get vague and unhelpful answers. What should I do? If this is a normal PC experience it's easy to see why consoles appeal to a large portion of the gaming community.
These are my specs and based on my knowledge I should have no problems running any of these games in any way.
GPU-GeForce gtx 770m

I had the same problem with the mouse not showing up on some games when i first got my computer. Come to find out my display was set to 150%. This made my mouse vanish on some games. If you go to the dashboard and right click then go to personalize, then click on the display tab. On mine a normal-100%, medium 125% and large 150% pops up. You have to have it on 100%. Hope it helps :)
Guessing you are running a laptop? Also guessing that you are using Windows 8?
It is hard to troubleshoot multiple games at the same time, especially with different issues. Lets see a few things to try.
1, make sure you dont have a controller plugged in for the mouse. In a game like skyrim it removes the mouse curser till its unplugged.
2, look for conflicting mouse driver issues. If you are on a laptop you likely have default microsoft mouse drivers for the touch pad, if you are then trying a USB mouse it could cause an issue.
3, game wont start is very vague. Do they try to launch? do you get any screen changes? Or nothing?
4, is there any common occurrence when the game crashes? Is it when the game is saving, or maybe loading into a new level. Does it crash back to windows or reboot?
