The lights are on
Ugh this is about the 10th time i've encountered this problem in my life...i JUST got runescape members...but now i feel tmepted to play WoW...the $15 a month is unattractive to me...but i just wanna b a casual pc gamer...not hardcore in WoW like i used to...i feel like WoW is impossible for casual pc gamers but....its so *** addicting...post ur opinions pleez
I think DDO is better because, it`s alomost the same thing and DDO it`s for free, but let me hear your opinions!
Aion and DDO are the same in that they're both fantasy MMOs, but pretty much everything else about them is as different as can be. You wouldn't say that Kohan and Warcraft 3 are "pretty much the same thing" even though they're both fantasy RTSs, would you?
The only thing they have in common are that they are both just generic MMOs. Same "body", different "skin".
I saw a trailer and it looked like the same.
I've only played Aion, and it had a cheap, Low production value feeling to it. I'm thinking of trying out DDO though. How's the community?
I presume you only tried the beta, do you have a subscription to Aion? Because if you do, you would comment otherwise. And I haven't tried DDO as well, I might give it a shot if time permits.
I borrowed an account to try it, and the starting area was BORING. But thats to be expected.
The starting area isn't that bad and goes by pretty fast. I'm having a blast with aion and I played ddo a long time ago before it went free. I didn't enjoy it then but I have no clue how it is now.
I played ddo a while back and really didn't like it, but then again I didn't get into the endgame content. Aion looks just all around better made and looks more inspired, but I have yet to play it.
I had a lot of fun playing the Aion beta, but I don't think it merits a monthly subscription with its current level of content. I haven't played DDO, but everyone seems to have a good time playing it.
First the window, then it's to the wall. Lil' Jon, he always tells the truth.
I gotta go with DDO.
Kill'em with kindness, it's a slow painful death.

I'm a ex world of warcraft player so its kinda hard for me to compare but i played DDO and I liked it based on the gameplay it wasn't bad. But I havent played Aion yet..
Agree with Adam Biessner, Disagree with Dave Ray. Comparing them is a total waste of time because of their enormous differences. Dave Ray, Aion is a great game. Suggestion, please do some research before commenting on "Same body" games. Agreed, both are fantasy MMOs, but content is completely different. Both games have unique characteristics, each have their ups and downs, and both are worth a try. btw, hope this answers your question, TheTalech.
Does Aion have a trial?
