We just released our first trailer:
Last Jungle In Sector 17 is a top-view 2D action strategy game, taking place in open space. The goal of the game is to defend your base and survive the enemy assault. The player starts out with a single fighter craft which he controls with keyboard and mouse. As the events progress he also gains access to defense turrets, tactical structures, allied crafts and different upgrades.
So tell us what you think? Any advice would be welcomed :)

It could be fun, but from what i have seen it could also be very boring.

As a start to the industry this is a good beginning! I like the story being presented in Comic fashion, as an avid reader of comics this appealed to me.
The only thing negative I saw about this was that the combat around the "space station?" was hard to follow. I had trouble seeing who was my enemy and which crafts were my fighters. Brush up on that aspect and I think it's a solid start.

We are thinking about an in-game upgrade that would highlight the enemies. We'll be releasing a demo soon so stay tuned :)
Looks pretty interesting to me. Like Glyph, I like the story being told through the comic.
Honestly the game looks like it has potential. It looks boring though. It seems like just another 10 minutes that I would waste at work one time during break just because I could. The game doesn't seem like it has any real substance to it. The key to winning battles from what I saw was to make big looping circles so the enemy can't hit you. Ya sure it is a "strategy" but I don't want a game that I can just fly in circles and not get hit. In order for a game to be successful it needs a story, action, or something that draws you in to keep playing. Generally it needs 2 of the 3.
I buy a few towers, fend off invaders, spin circles till the enemy dies. End game.
Very interesting but done before. The open space platform is different though so if well done (even within the financial constraints of an indie of course) should be awesome. Good luck!

It seems nice. However, I think it could be better if you can put emphasis on fighter craft not the enemy craft. So, that it is easier to identify which is enemy craft and your fighter craft.
