Talking about the microtransactions, what I read said that it could simply be referring to in game money, like gold in WoW. And I love that once you make a choice you can't simply load an old save and choose again.

Yeah, technically you can lean into either good or evil from the opposite side, but you're still gonna be whatever you chose.

wow, that looks really good. The only thing that looks a little off to me is how choppy the cars move through the sky
The Old Republic looks to be a good MMO, however I do not believe that the whole 'Everyone has a voice' thing will work. I mean, most people are still going to say "Shut the hell up and give me my quest.", instead of listening to the multitude of dialogue that Bioware has offered us.

For all we know it could be MT like in champions online where its just for looks. So there could still very well be a monthly sub.
The game has yet to start beta they just started taking apps for it. I see this as no earlier as may of 2010. I am very excited for this game and after finally letting SWG go(never played pre-nge so that wasn't it) I need another sci-fi mmo.
Well the have announced all the classes, for the Republic we have Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Smuggler, and Commando. On the Sith side we have the Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Agent, and Bounty Hunter. Here is a link to them, hopefully they start talking Races soon!
They were talking about this on the Gian Bombcast, I believe, and the way they talked about it... I will probably buy a new computer for this game.

I'm brand new here, so I don't know if there is a thread like this, but if you were to get Star Wars: The Old Republic, what would you be? I think a Bounty Hunter sounds pretty cool. Either way, I'd be a bad guy. What about you?
