The lights are on
Anybody at all remember the gameboy micro?
Okay now how many of you remember the Play it Loud!! Gameboy? Or the Gameboy SP Mark II???
It turns out that there are NINE different gameboys excluding the Three DS's. (according to wikipedia).
I only thought there were four...
I am a mac gamer and proud of it.
I remember the Play it Loud! Game Boy, but I don't remember the GBASPM.2.
How often do you think about the air you breath? Oxygen: Gas of life or secret military death vapor?
I knew about the Micro, but at the time I didn't really care. Now I consider it something that I'll pick up for sure if I ever see it at Gamestop. Slick little thing.
If the "Mark II" is a brighter screen, then I knew, my friends had that. They rubbed it in my face too. "How can you play like that? Why is your screen so dark?" Grrrr...
As for the "Play it Loud", no clue.
I had the original Gameboy before I moved on to Color, but I rolled with the Handy Boy peripheral. I was pretty much the coolest kid on the block.
Boot the grime of this world in the crotch, dear.
Holy crap, link-826. I bet you made everyone else feel inadequate with that thing. Awesome.
You, know, I might want to start a thread with every single handheld gaming device.
Just don't steal it! Anyway, I only saw the Micro once in my life, I had no idea what it was. I guess people were mad at the size of the DS so they made the micro.
Of course they made a more successful version in the DS Lite.
How about the Game Boy Light? It was Nintendo's first portable with a backlight, and exclusive to Japan.

Yeah... I knew about all the Game Boys, but I don't consider the DS's to be true Game Boys, but rather the successors to the Game Boy franchise.
I started with the Game Boy Pocket when Pokemon had just started its debut, but all of my other friends started with the Game Boy Color.
When I taught to my students at a summer camp about the advancement in technology and how the original Game Boy took 4 AA's, they corrected me, saying the Game Boy Color was the first Game Boy and it only took 2... (sigh...)
I had one of those handy boy things as well Link. Unfortunately mine crapped out on me right away. :(
Still a cool idea though.
wow that thing is big. i remember the micro.
Remember? I still have my Play It Loud! Game Boy.
Lets see, I had a color but I had to give it away, I had a GBA but after seven years its almost dead, I had an SP but I lost it, and I had a DS but the top screen broke...
I am really bad with handhelds...
I got a Game Boy Color when I was seven, still have it and it still works, my old GBA works, somehow the screen on my SP cracked, and my DSi is all good.
I remember the Micro, never saw the point in it if you already owned a SP.
My first GB was a pocket. Surprisingly, it's still around... like new and it works.
When the Micro was out, I thought it was a useless upgrade. Meh, I still don't see the point of having to get one at the time. (But now for collecting, it's cool.)
My first Gameboy was an enormous gray brick. Oldest of the old. I was so jealous of my friend's Game Gear that had Sonic on it.
I've never heard of Play it Loud!! but I remember a friend having a red Gameboy that must have been one of these.
I remember the SP Mark II and the Micro. And I still own my Super Gameboy despite not having an old TV to play it on.
