The lights are on
After the recent revival of Kid Icarus, it seems like Nintendo may be interested in reviving their old franchises. What Nintendo franchises do you want to be revived and why? The franchise you choose must have not had a new game in the series since 2010 (Mario,Zelda,Kirby, etc.does not count)
I would really love a Earthbound and F-Zero revival. They both look like great franchises and I am dyeing to try them out (I have played F-Zero: Maximum Velocity but that doesn't count). Nintendo should, at least, port them over to either the Nintendo 3DS (3D Classics: Earthbound would be nice) or Wii U (an HD remake of F-Zero also sounds nice).
~Biggest Nintendo Fan Ever. Period.~
YES! An Earthbound sequel IN THE US.
One died in India. Three was tracked down in Brazil. I am the only one left. I am The Second Musketeer
Earthbound, of course!
I would choose a couple. For one, Earthbound really needs to be revived like Kid Icarus was. Some others that I think needs to be revived is F-Zero, Star Fox,Golden Sun,Ice Climber, and Advance Wars. All those could use a revival and all of them can comeback in a big way.
In no defined order
1. Spiritual Successor to Mother trilogy
2. F-Zero
3. Ice Climber (a major overhaul would happen though)
.I personally think that F-Zero and Ice Climber are in the best position for a revival (they were ambassador games). Earthbound would most likely get either an HD compilation remake with the other two mother games, a spiritual successor or both.
Peaceful Days died, Let's Survive
Starfox, seriously at this point I couldn't care less if it was like 64, Adventures, or even Command, I just want a new game that ISN'T a remake
No. 2 is that fast paced F-Zero racing goodness
Correct me if I am wrong, but does Nintendo hold the rights to "Eternal Darkness"? I would love to see a new game in that universe.

Nintendo is the publisher of Eternal Darkness, so yes. However Silicon Knights is the developer, so Nintendo can't just go "make a new Eternal Darkness game." However Silicon Knights said they were working on one of their most requested next gen titles and Nintendo has reknewed the trademark. According to the rumor mill the new game may even be a launch title for the WiiU. So it's more likely then some of the other examples in this topic.
You sir, have just made my day. :D
They hold the rights to the sanity meter in Eternal Darkness. Not sure if they own it completely. However, they were the publisher for the game so it's possible. I believe Silicon Knights still own the IP. There have been rumors of a sequel, and they point it being on the Wii U most likely.

Nintendo owns the trademark, which is the brand name basically. So it would be impossible for Silicon Knights to make a new Eternal Darkness game without Nintendo's permission. If Nintendo want's to, they could have any of their development teams work on Eternal Darkness 2. The closest Silicon Knights can get to a non Nintendo published Eternal Darkness game, is a spiritual successor.
But the rumor mill points to Silicon Knights being the developer of Eternal Darkness 2, so Nintendo decided Silicon Knights were a good team to go to for Eternal Darkness 2.
I really enjoyed the Battalion Wars games for Gamecube and Wii. I feel with enhanced graphics and a second controller to place the commands. Battalion Wars III could honestly be a great experience.
Other than that, Nintendo really needs to bring back a true starfox game. The rail shooting style game play from starfox was fantastic and a sequel to the 64 style of gameplay is what the series needs. We don't want to change from vehicles to fox, all we want is being in some war machine, blasting the crap out of enemies. We want the story that was simple but very entertaining. If anything could change obviously the wii u controller can enrich the fighting scheme with the controller. I think starfox is a great game that doesn't need to be retired.
nintendo franchises that i would like to see revived are
Metroid,metroid prime(i dont care,i just want another)
Earthbound
Starfox(nintendo make one already!!!! you have a tablet controller with gyroscope.NUFF SAID!!!!)
and maybe a super mario RPG.
oh and an F-zero. f-zero for gamecube was fun. knocking my bro off a cliff would make my day anytime that happen.
