Resident evil 4 talk
Considering this game was on the PS2 and PC as well, it SHOULD be in general gaming.
But I'm glad to be the first to say, it's best on the Wii, except I don't like how Separate Ways is an EXACT copy from the PS2.
I'm playing it right now with only a handcannon. Lol.
Currently playing: Modern Warfare 2, Resident Evil 5, New Vegas, Halo Reach, Bulletstorm
Add me on XBL: Pyr0CheeZeCake (that's a zero)
The Freeman Returns 2012. I'll give it hope for another year...
Nope, it's in the right place. The threads topic only cover the Nintendo version of the games. The Wii version is better in just about every way. The only advantage were the mini-discs gamecube games used that I love so much and the boxart. I dislike the Wii and PS2 versions boxart.
The beauty of my muscles will warm your heart.
The wii version. It has all the PS2 content.
The Wii version by a landslide. It has all the additional content plus motion controls. Although the control may take some getting used to initially, give it some time and it'll be like second nature!
It's a me, Mario!
I had the Gamecube version and sold it. I got the Wii version and thought it was better. Mainly I like the Wii version is because I am better at shooting things by pointing with the Wii controls.
I say the Wii version is the definite version of RE4 with surprisingly smooth controls with the WiiMote and Nunchuk. You can aim more freely this time and has all of the content from the PS2 version. This is definitely a buy for hardcore Wii owners.
From what I've read, it seems the Wii version was the better one. I wouldn't know because I, like bazillions others, played it when it was just a Gamecube "exclusive" and had a blast with it. When it came out for the Wii, I saw no reason to spend money on a game I already played the hell out of years before, even if it was the definitive version. So if you never played either, get the Wii one. If you have already, I don't see why you should buy another version at all.
PS3 Lovers Unite!!
According to Metacritics, the Nintendo Gamecube is the better version. That version had an 96. Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Wii had a 91, while still excellent, is not as good as the Gamecube score.
However, most people consider the Wii version to be the defindent version of the game, but I've never played the game before (Mainly due to me not being old enough), so you decide.
You can also use the gamecube controller in the Wii version. So yes, Gamecube games are completely in tact with the laser sight automatically appearing, real widescreen, extra modes, game tracking on the Wii and $20 new in stores. Only Metroid Prime Trilogy, Half-Life: The Orange Box and similar box sets can offer comparable deals.
This game is as much of an evolution over the older version as Metroid Prime Trilogy is over its' cube versions. Zelda is the only high quality port I know of that had a weak conversion that doesn't completely trump the older version. Boxart still sucks and I still prefer the mini-discs...
Wii. The controls for the Wii come natural to anyone. Stabing zombies with the remote is awesome. And I am a much better shot with the motion controls.
I may be the odd one in the bunch but I love the GameCube version better. I played throught the game several times and I love using the gamecube controller.
I do like the ii version better. even though i don't have one ( and i don't want one ). I played it at my old girlfriend's house. it was fun.
I meant to say Wii*
Wii version due to better graphics and nicer controls
