E-Dudnetnin: I'm hoping that Nintendo will chug out a few new IPs for the Wii U as well.

That's a tall order. Not only don't Nintendo fans support 3rd party games, they also tend to ignore whenever Nintendo dares to try something different. Hence the poor sales of Eternal Darkness on the GameCube (best title on that system) and Sin & Punishment on the Wii.
I know this dosent have much to do with the topic but, why is it gameinformr only updates the playstaion and microsft pages but not nintendo. And please dont troll me for askin

Are you talking about articles in general or here in the forums? If it's articles, it's likely because Nintendo hasn't had much big news lately. If you're talking about the forums, it's because they're pretty much dead because blogging and the staff doesn't care much for them.
I can answer ZeldaHDTwili's question as well.
Running an official Nintendo news thread on another site for about 3 months now. I would say that 90 percent of the stuff I have been adding to the thread is fan art, youtube videos, retro news, reconfirmed news and e-shop news.
What has Nintendo had for actual news in the past two months? We knew all the games that are coming out now, were coming out. They are being hush hush up until E3. I doubt that even GDC or GDN or whatever it is will have much info. The same happened just before the Wii came out. Kind of annoying I think. Sony and Microsoft will figure out what their secrets are anyways.
There's actually a Nintendo Direct conference today, but I doubt any Wii U news will surface until E3.

Nintendo is usually secretive about almost anything that comes from their in-house departments, being games or consoles. It usually bothers the hell out of me, because Nintendo news is the first thing I usually look for. I doubt GDC will have anything new, and will probably only show what has been shown at CES (which was the same thing shown at last year's E3). If you want any mind-blowing information, you're better off waiting for E3.
I just need more info on this...

Rainheart, I'll never forget you.
Should be a great system
I stand by the notion of calling this thing "the U"
this actually looks good. I never thought about buying The Wii- U until I saw this.
For those that are still wondering about how the Wii-U performs against current-gen systems, here's a link:
If you want an idea how it might perform against the PS4:
It would be bad for the Wii-U if the PS4 uses the last processor that was mentioned, but due to costs, I believe that they will not use it, or severely tone it down. Either way, I think Nintendo might be able to at least compete with next-gen consoles.
Also, I know that most of this is based off rumors, but it has been confirmed that the POWER7 architecture will be used for the Wii-U, so even if it is one of the low-end models, it will still clearly out-compete the current generation.
I think multiplayer can also use the Classic Controller Pro. At least, I think they said that.
Sa kyr'am Nau tracyn kad, Vode an.
Ahh... just read that Classic Controller Pro's analog sticks stank. Oops.
At least they're making a pro controller right off the bat this time.
Big update today on the specs and added a picture of the new Pro controller.
