  • I've tried several front-loader NES consoles.  The first had a new 72-pin connector, and the other didn't, but was cleaned out really well.  Both are still too fickle for my tastes.  But since I started this thread I've gotten enough info about various NES clones to know that I don't want one.

    I'd like to get either a Sharp Twin Famicom, or a Japanese Famicom AV-I know you can get reverse converters to play American NES games on them.  And they have AV out.  They aren't cheap, but neither is the top-loader NES.
