"You know nothing Jon Snow"
You forgot the GamePad charging cradle for the deluxe version.
Camping out, baby!
Sleeping outside of Target was one of the best experiences I ever had.
Eh, I probably won't buy one. Unless it gets something that REALLY catches my interest
I don't know what a Wii U is but I sure think Mojo is swell.
I'm actually still not sure. I'd rather wait till we know a little more about the next Playstation, and Xbox.
That is probably a good idea Masterassassin. I did pre order two of them, but I haven't put any cash down on them, if they take off and are hard to find, I will strike it rich, if not, I will cancel at least one and if I have enough money/interest on Nov 18th, then I will buy it.
I'd love to get a Wii U day one but I don't have the money (partly because I've already planned on what I'm buying the rest of the year) and I wish we knew the exact launch games. I'll likely pick up the deluxe sometime next year, hopefully when more games are out / on the way.
I really don't plan to. Not that I have anything against it per say, rather that I'm saving for a PS4. Snazzy poll:)
Plan to buy one eventually, and for some reason I am really interested in The Wonderful 101 from Platinum Games. Also really want to play Rayman Legends.
Why is everyone pressed on Sony.. Sony is the bronze medalist of consoles and has been since Microsoft entered the ring. Nintendo all day never would own a PS of any sort.
Maybe. I am easily going to wait 6 months till I see some must have titles before I jump. Bayonetta does nothing for me, ZombiU has potential but I will wait and see (very happy with Dayz mod). Mario and Zelda...maybe I am getting old but they just dont do it for me any more. I dont dislike them but they are not enough for me to justify a console purchase.
Actually there are 2 big outstanding factors that I am watching. First is what the Nintendo network ends up being. They have lots of ground to make up and I am worried they will fall short. Second is what their competitors do, I think it is safe to say we will be seeing one of or both of Sony's and Msoft's new consoles by late 2013 or early 2014. I am one of those people that sees the WiiUs controller as neat...but something I will get bored with quickly (similar to with Wii controllers). If you remove the novelty of the controller I think the WiiU looses much of its luster. Then the main selling point becomes the Nintendo exclusives...which are nice, but I dont feel they are must haves (going to get killed for that statement on these forums..I know). Anyway if the new consoles have a good showing that may cause me to wait for the WiiU to be under $200.
We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.

Well we all know that Nintendo 1st party offerings always are better quality than the other companies. Hopefully the Wii U and Nintendo bring a stronger 3rd party bond so they may in the future have 3rd party exclusives for the Wii u and future consoles. Sony and M.S. are nothing special. All those companies have over Nintendo is Hardware and 3rd party titles, if you take those away Nintendo crushes them easily.
I am kind of in agrement with Palor. I mean I want one, but I do have other priorities, and def won't be able to get one at launch unless I justify it by calling it the kid's Christmas present, but he has already kinda shrugged at that idea.
I too love Mario and Zelda, but truthfully I don't even play Mario games anymore, and kind of prefer Zelda on the 3ds.
It would strictly be a first party system, and I just don't know that it is worth it to me. I see the controller as being something that is cool for about 12 minutes, and then it will just be in the way.
Another thing that has me curious...when they stated that the system has 2GB ram, is that just for the console, or does that include what the controller has as well?
I also just heard that there will not be proprietary storage required, basically any external HD or SD card will work, so that makes upgrading storage cheap, but won't that also make it much easier to crack the games?
I think 2 gigs of memory is lacking also, mostly because of how cheap it is. I am guessing since they are buying directly from the manufacturer Nintendo is paying less than $10 a gig. That said those 2 gigs are not shared with the controller. The controller probably has a built in 128mb of memory or something small like that. Since the controller is not doing any processing it does not need anything else. Just a very small amount of memory to buffer screen data, key inputs, accelerometer data and such till it is transmitted to the console.
Also yes any external USB hard drive or thumb stick should work with the WiiU. Nintendo deserves kudos for that but it does add another $60 or so to the cost of the system. If they are going to start having games with lots of HD DLC the built in console storage will be gone very quick. If/when I buy a WiiU I will pick up a 250-500gig hard drive at the same time.
