The lights are on
Both systems seem to yield amazing results with the right conditions. I want to know people's opinions on these systems. Do they suck or do they have the upper hand? Times change and it would be cool to see how our opinions change as well.
The 3ds started off very slow. But I'm liking it more now that more and more great games are coming out on it.
The Wii U I'm on the fence about. The controller looks...intresting...I'll most definiteley get it, but other specs will determine if I get it On day 1
One died in India. Three was tracked down in Brazil. I am the only one left. I am The Second Musketeer
I have a 3DS and like it so far, and i cant wait for the Wii U. As soon as i herd SSB4 i was hooked.
Like The Second Musketeer said the 3DS started off really bad, but it's really starting to prove it's worth and I have about 10+ games that I want for it.
As far as Wii U goes, it's intersting but the 3DS has taught me to never buy a system day 1. I'm not sold on the system until I see at E3 along with the launch line up and price
I have a 3DS and I love it. It has so many great games like Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land. You might find me crazy, but I actually liked the 3DS launch titles. Right now, I can't wait for Kid Icarus: Uprising, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Animal Crossing 3D.
The Wii U looks very interesting. Before I know for sure that i'll buy it on launch day, I want two things to be revealed/confirmed. The first thing is more information. I'm not buying a console that doesn't have a lot in it, meaning it's boring. I also want to know of Pikmin 3 will be a launch title. I LOVE the Pikmin series and I can't wait for Pikmin 3. I love Pikmin so much that my avatar (the picture next to my name) is a picture of pikmin!
~Biggest Nintendo Fan Ever. Period.~

Duuuuuuuuuuuude... If you really love the 3DS, buy 3rd party games! If all you buy are the things Nintendo churns out, you're just going to help convince 3rd party devs to abandon the system the way all the fanboys did with the Wii!
Ace Combat is thrilling! Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars is a fantastic hybrid of Advance Wars and Fire Emblem! Nano Assault is fun and simply gorgeous! Bit.Trip Saga is all kinds of Bit.Trip awesomeness in one package! And if you're looking for a challenging action-platformer, Shinobi totally has you covered!
I hated my 3DS until Mario 3D Land came out and it is an amazing game. One of the franchises best, so I felt a little better then but still was bummed that it was the only game I personally cared for on the machine. Now there is RE Revelations, which is an amazing console worthy RE experience. I am OK with the machine right now but after hearing Pokemon B&W 2 will be built on normal DS, I dunno. It's a decent machine but it needs more games that appeal to people with taste like mine.
Wii U looks interesting, but the controller is a bit large. I have to wonder if it will be like worse than holding the Duke or the DC controller or if it will be more like the PSV handheld. I hope they move those sticks under the buttons and dpad.
I like pretty much everything about the 3DS....except the 3D >> It seriously messes with my eyes.
Not sure about the Wii U yet.

Hmm... is all I have to say the 3ds looks nice but I don't see whats so great about it it does nothing new exept for the 3d thats about it but it doesent terrible. now the wii U the controller (in my opinion) looks terrible it just seems to big and it doesent even have real joysticks but wether or not they do well is not up to me I just don't see them as the next BIG thing if you know what I mean.
I love my 3DS. I have been anticipating a Pokemon release but am not holding my breath. The 3D Pokedex they released showed the potential the system holds. Pokemon MMORPG PLEASE!!
As for the games I own, Street Fighter, MarioKart 7, Star Fox, Zelda, The Sims, Pilot Wings, and a couple others. The system has some duds but there is so much more to be had. I think the system will slowly gain more traction as they become more "affordable".
The WiiU looks awesome but I guess, we'll see. The controller does seems bit large but, maybe it will work. I think its more about the potential of the games that come out. Which 3rd party devs are going to hop on board. Or more interestingly, which will be allowed too.
Nintendo 3DS. solid handheld with a questionable launch. Now that Mario and other 3rd party games like resident evil and monster hunter are out, i say it will be having a long lifespan. But there will be a second iteration with the second circle pad and ZL/ZR buttons integrated into the system along with a slight hardware upgrade to make screen resolution better (doesn't have to look retina display good).
Wii U on the otherhand, I just hope nintendo out smarts microsoft and sony in someway other than sequels of their franchise and miscellaneous accesories. New controller, skeptical, I need to hold it with my own hands. Anything else has to wait til E3 2012

You should check out my idea for a Pokemon game on the Nintendo forums. MMORPG would be pretty awesome and it would only prove the Wii U's worth.
the 3DS is great how ever if your friend wants to watch you play you have to switch 3D off which is the best part of the handheld not to mention even though theyve sped up there still isnt a very good selection of games out or coming soon also the Wii U is starting to look incredibly expensive as a highschool student i cant afford such things unless i sell a bunch of my old games and get a job will every control be like the one in the picture?
The 3DS started off with less then great games but with games like MarioCart and Legend of Zelda its picking up.
