The lights are on
I cant believe this, I have been a Nintendo fan all my life and just because I openly prefer Skyrim over Skyward sword, many of my fellow Nintendo fans have alienated me. I was one of the more prominent members of the Nintendo fan club in my school, but now most of them wont even talk to me :( . I also used to post on the Nintendo power forums before subscribing to gameinformer, but even there people criticize me for my preference. Its not fair that Im being told to go play call of duty and gears of war, Im not saying I didnt like Skyward sword, I just like skyrim better.
Im just looking for a place to talk to other gamers, Nintendo fans specificly, without being judged for liking a rather popular game more than a game made by Nintendo. Will I find what Im looking for here or should I just give up and recant my feeling? I mean, a game is not worth my social life, right?
That sucks, but not to sound like anass but that's what happens when you make friends with fanboys. as soon as you show an interest in something better, they act as if you just cheated on them.
Please be trolling.

The Freeman Returns 2012. I'll give it hope for another year...
Im not trying to troll, Im just a little hurt that people I considered to be friends are for the most part talking about me behind my back as if I stole one of their bfs. Im sorry if I came off like a troll, I was just really upset when I made this thread :(
@theelder; I think Officer was referring to me lol, and to his comment, yeah I pretty much was. You gotta admit though, triforce is getting it pretty rough, and if his friends are acting like that just because he likes skyrim, then I'm sorry but their fanboys.
Im a girl Thelizardman. So calling me he, and him isnt helping my already fragile self-esteem. lol
Whoa...your friends really take it seriously, well anyways everybody have their own taste of games its not that everyone have the same favorite game. If everybody have the same favorite game life will be boring talking about only one game lol. But if you look at it Skyrim is a pretty awesome game cause my friends always talking about nonstop. P.S i am a Nintendo fan that play games on different console not just Nintendo.
Nintendo fanboys are the worst type of fanboys. Tough cookies bro.
There are plenty of great games out there and Skyrim was (and still is) mentioned as a great game on this site.
And I find myself in the predicament of playing Little Big Planet 2, Batman:Arkam City, Skyward Sword, and Ocarina of time for the 3DS. All great games. Just have to decide which to play at what time.
Eh, who cares the platform. Just play whatever game you like. Skyrim just happens to be on 360/PS3 and Zelda just happens to be on Wii. It sucks they won't be open to other games though.
That sucks, I seriously hate how people focus on the rating and system and not the actual content. I noticed some Skyrim vs Skyward Sword rivalry after both came out, but I thought it died down.
I understand the feeling, I play the 3DS and am interested in the Vita, but if you look at what the fans are saying, that's impossible. Just ignore the crazy people.
Peaceful Days died, Let's Survive
Hey, I'm a die-hard Zelda fan, too. I've played both games also. While I do prefer Skyward Sword, you prefer Skyrim, and that's cool. You've fallen victim to being shunned for your opinion, which is a bogus thing to happen. To be perfectly honest, I get yelled at on forums because I say Skyward Sword is better than Skyrim. If someone can't respect your opinion, it has nothing to do with you.
Its good to see so many people who can see where I'm coming from. I'm really interested in what Ruler 3995 had said, like what it is about Skyward Sword that makes you like it more. No judgment just a good convo please lol
Well, If you read my blog (odds say you don't) but the two games are barely comparable, so it's hard to say what I like more, so it came down to nostalgia. Skyrim was the first Elder Scrolls game I played, but I have several Zelda titles, so it was a tough call.
