The lights are on
CAN YOU SAY...$$$$$$$, no, technically you cant. and yes, if you havent noticed, there is something wrong with these pictures.
I'd like to share with anyone reading this from some anonymous guy, my experience with the crazy phenomenon that swept the world over 10 years ago, spawning the obligatory merchandise, mass, commercialization, anime cartoon, movie, and those pikachu toys (those freakin vibrating things were almost as demanded as the creepy tickle me Elmo dolls). I think it was the chrismas of 99 (or maybe it was 98), whatever, that my two younger brothers got two games, the same game in fact, but in two different pack...... it was Red and Blue, duh!! I was too busy playing super smash bros (or maybe it was Banjo Kazooie), to care, but eventually after snatching the game from one of my brothers and deleting his save file, I would fall to it's addictive pull, taking it with me to the school bus, getting my gameboy confiscated in class, to the park, I have long nostelgiac rides up north grinding through that game (as I played mostly RPGs on the gameboy then)..... and my save file got corrupted... all those countless hours lost.... but it didnt matter, I would play Red again, (and Blue), and again, and again, eventually getting yellow for my eighth birthday, and playing, battling, and trading the crap out of the same game again.
This is Silver version btw.... ah my rival's name was ***'. No it wasnt
2000 came along, and of course, once I saw Silver (screw Gold, Gligar can kiss my cheeks), I had to get it. I remember having 140 something pokemon, already beating the story quests, things were going good... aaaand my file deletes itself.... so pissed. Short story is, after repeatedly losing and finding and restarting these *** cartridges ( a phase that would continue for the GBA and DS iterations), I've lost most of my games, and two DS's. I've spent more hours with all the pokemon games than I ever will in my entire life with another game series (or even an entire console generation), I've restarted, and rebought these games a ridiculous amount of times........ and I lost it all. It seems that I will never be able to catch them all, so I draw this conclusion knowing I never actually accomplished anything with those darn little......uh... japanese critters. Have any of you ever had, or still have even, that obsession to catch them alll, only to misplace your game and finally throw you poke'mon collecting cares as I have? Because I wonder if you really need to catch them all.... which you dont, so no. I'll end this story with a recommendation to buy a psp go, as soon as sony drops the price.
Pikachu.... the only poke'mon that ACTUALLY SAID HIS FREAKING NAME!!!!
P.S. Pokemon>Dreamcast in total time spent.
Hey so im wondering if you can trade from gold and silver to fire red and leaf green to Pearl is that possible

Yes, there's always a new generation of children to get addictied to that game. It's like a marketing cheat code for infinite cash.
Amen brother. They have already taken me for every cent. Not to mention that I've never been able to get them all because of the legendaries you can only get from Nintendo. (Still not going to use a gameshark even after all these years of wasted time.)
I remember playing Pokemon all the time. I never caught them all, but I had Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold and Crystal. I sometimes want a DS just for the newer Pokemon. I think that is all i would play, maybe some Chinatown Wars.
Also, I know what you mean with the games getting overwritten or somehow erased. After playing the crap outta Crystal version for like over a hundred hours I think my cartridge just broke. I kept starting new campaigns but it wouldn't save.
If you post it, they will troll.
Strange, I've never had a problem with any Pokemon game I've ever owned. The only time it would reset is when I found out my younger sister messed with it and of course, deleted it. Though passion for Pokemon was still burning so I happily restarted it.
All of my games (except Black) have been corrupted.
My gold version's save battery died and I sold it to GameStop awhile back. Funny how my blue version's save still works... for now...
Currently playing: Modern Warfare 2, Resident Evil 5, New Vegas, Halo Reach, Bulletstorm
Add me on XBL: Pyr0CheeZeCake (that's a zero)
The Freeman Returns 2012. I'll give it hope for another year...
In all the generations I never had a problem with my cart. Now, the TCG game on the other hand...
I did catch them all, in the original generation. It was easy then. It's impossible now.
I used to try to catch them all, but who even cares when all you get is that stupid certificate or it?
I can understand what you are saying the first pokemon game I had for my Game boy was Crystal version and I owuld play that for hours. Then I got ruby, pearl, platinium, and heart gold. I have lost alll of my pokemon games by now sadly and I didi spend a lot of hours on the pokemon seires thats the downside about protable games they are easy as hell to lose from now on I will keep my pokemon games in a locked slef or something because I am tired of losing my pokemon games,.
Michael Davis.
Quagmire has caught them all.
The beauty of my muscles will warm your heart.
I always kept my games and Gameboy Advance inside a special carrier, so I never lost any of my Pokemon games. My save files only got "corrupted" one time, and that was when I shut the game down in the middle of saving the game. But then the game just sent me back to the last time I had saved, so I didn't have to start from scratch.
Besides, one of my favorite things about the game was catching 'em all. Every time I'd finish a game, I'd intentionally erase the save file and start completely over so that I could catch 'em all all over again. (The real problem was losing my running shoes until I beat the gym leader. It was so slow until then.)
The really annoying thing about Pokemon, though, is that I couldn't really catch 'em all because there were different pokemon in every game. But I guess that's how they get you to buy the other games. :-l
I've never really tried to catch them all. I've just never found it to be a good use of my time.
I'm satisfied by catching all the legendary pokemon in one game.
Dude you have to be careful with your stuff ( or someone elses?) anyway I don't nearly have all the pokemon but the legendary i have a most of. I still haven't given up on catching them all and if you want to play the till finger breaks, remember to save and when you are done playing you let your game rest for about 3 to 6 minutes before turning it on again, that if you turn off and then on again once or twice, third or more, your data is gone.Find a good place keep your games also, or buy a case for them.
