The lights are on
Well, everyone knew this was coming sooner or later.
This was shown in Pokémon Sunday.
This Pokémon will be revealed in Pokémon Sunday (Feb. 21.)
Let the Pokémon fans rejoice... Again.
Great. I was going to go out and get Soulsilver, but now I wonder if its going to be worth it. I barely play my Platinum anymore, and I don't want it to be like that with Soulsilver. I liked the second Gen Pokemon, and haven't played it in a long time. (I still regret selling those games.) Maybe I should wait until Gen 5 comes out later this year.
From the outline, it looks like a cross between a Lucario, a Typhlosion, and a Weavile.
Sold.
Maybe they will have a new Evolution type? Its not enough anymore just to come up with 100 different new pokemon. People also want to see some variety in the gameplay.
I mean we all have been playing Pokemon since red and blue, and its obviously changed a lot aside from the core aspects of the game. I would absolutely love to see something brand new and not just a small change; I agree with Castille new game play will only sell me, not just new Pokemon... I cant wait to see where the new game is going though, I'm pretty excited :)
Changing the turned based gameplay to action based would be cool.
It's obviously an evolution of Sonic, who, from part of an agreement with Nintendo will be in the game as one of the new Legendary Pokemon.
Seriously though, it's gonna be hard to top Gold / Silver, which is what they're aiming to do. If they somehow manage do pull it off, I'll buy both versions (we all know there will be) on day one.
First things that came to mind was Lucario and Sonic lol.

Left: Zoroark is the Monster Fox Pokémon and is a Dark-type, it is 1.6m tall and weighs 81.1kg.
Right: It evolves from Zorua, a pure Dark-type and is the Evil Fox Pokémon. It is 0.7m tall and weighs 12.5kg
i think ill stick with my soul silver... want so bad! theres just too many new pokemon for me to be able to keep up with it all anymore.
Its also the main pokemon in the upcoming movie Pokemon: Phantom Champion Z. I think it looks cool. When I first saw the picture I was hoping it would be a Dark/Fire type.
Now that I know what it looks like...Meh.
Nintendo is trying too hard to be cool.
That thing is very bland and ugly. But deep down, I know I'm gonna buy this generation of Pokemon too, so it doesn't really matter.
I started playing Pokemon from the very beginning with Red and Blue. I moved onto Yellow when it came out. Gold and Silver were the last ones I bought before kids my age starting growing tired of Pokemon at the time, so I never played Crystal, Ruby, Saphire, or Emerald. When Diamond and Pearl came out for the DS, I told myself I should buy one to bring back memories of my childhood. I bought Diamond and I fell in love all over again. They then announced HeartGold and SoulSilver and I almost pooped my pants. Those two were my favorite games on the GameBoy back in the day and I can't wait to go pickup SoulSilver the day it comes out. Now they announce the next generation which supposedly will release this year. Adding more Pokemon would be cool, but to really please all their fans, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company need to start from scratch and create a brand new experience for all of us
