Is wondering why people get completely obsessed with a game that they make it their life??? I enjoy a good story and thus I game, but seriously what do you guys think?

I have a TON to say about my 30+ years of experiences with baseball video games. However, I'ma start this one with a pet peeve of mine with MLB2K11. The following is ripped from my reply to the post by Matt Harnett who hit it on the screws (under the MLB2K12 preview stream):

"...Holding the RS down should have a time limit or else a penalty is incurred; i.e. front foot goes back down and the batter loses torque on the ensuing swing as his weight is forced forward. This would deter users from lock&loading up for every pitch which, in real life, is unrealistic."

I discovered a horror adventure game called Decay that I was rather impressed with. The game is broken into 4 parts, the first one is 80 MSP and the other 3 are 240 so for the full package it ends up costing more than an arcade game. However, anyone who enjoys horror or old-school point and click adventure titles will absolutely love these games. Very creepy, very well made.

I'm definitely ready for it. I'm tired of having so little memory that the system nearly freezes from opening the menu. Bring on the upgrade (and more complex games). The sooner, the better.

It would be illegal to require used game retailers to pay them.

As for my opinion, I preferred Call of Duty's campaign (slightly) and cooperative modes (entirely) to Battlefield 3's. Both have differing style of multiplayer, but I have to be playing with friends to enjoy either. In the end, though, neither was my FPS of the year last year. That honor went to RAGE.

I owned a PSP and got bored with it pretty quickly, so I was down on the Vita. This was until I heard that for games like MLB 12, you'll be able to save games to the cloud and pick them up on either device. This is worth having (and supposedly what the Wii U does, but with last generations games...). As a parent, if I could move my games between an xbox console and a handheld so that I could play regardless of where my parenting duties take me, I'd buy right away. Mobile Halo deathmatch, yes please.

There's always the possibility that this is true (with the use of plain old activation codes) but I'm wondering if this is more linked to Microsoft attempting to move software 100% online, with games stored in the cloud. With this model, it'd be pretty much impossible to have used games since they'd be linked to an account.

Don't get me wrong, I love (and use) the used game market, I just see all of the cash Apple has made with 100% distribution rights on iOS software and am sure Microsoft wants a similar piece.

So far Kinnect Sports 1 and Kinnect Adventures. I play with my 6 year old who gets has a blast playing Kinnect Adventures. Personally I like the Volleyball realism of KS 1. However, this may all change and be updated as I explore more Kinnect games. Child of Eden is downloaded and next.

Mass Effect 2 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

Also, EA Sports Active 2 with my girlfriend on the Kinect. Generally a good workout, but EA phoned-in some of the Kinect's reading. Had they bothered with some more development time, it'd probably read us a lot better.

Not a bad workout when it works. EA decided that they'd rather allow you to shut off the Kinect reading floor-based exercises instead of just making them more easily read by Kinect.

The Playstation guys paid for their online services as well. Just because you pay for it doesn't mean it's more secure. Hence Sony not charging anyone for their online subscriptions during that downtime.

Halo: Reach is my favorite multiplayer game on XBL. So much fun.
